  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

The tournament is set, here are the two groups for Ylonen and Olofsson,

Group D: Oceláři Třinec (CZE), Lausanne HC (SUI), Lahti Pelicans (FIN), Yunost Minsk (BLR)

Group E: SC Bern (SUI), Kärpät Oulu (FIN), Skellefteå AIK (SWE), Grenoble (FRA)

Good news for Ylonen but looks like a tougher draw for Olofsson.

On the 29th of August, the 2019-20 Champions Hockey League starts in Europe.

The two Habs prospects in that competition are Ylönen with the Pelicans and Olofsson with Skellefteä.

Both of them play their first group stage game on the 30th.

The CHL tournament starts tomorrow. Both Ylonen and Olofsson don't play till Friday and then again on Sunday. Their are quality streams but you have to pay for them. I plan on watching Ylonen's game since he's one of the prospects I need to see more of but his games are so hard to see.

I believe the game on Friday is in Finland and starts around noon EST. Can't wait!

I thought you had to pay for the streams, didn't watch the tournament last year since we only had Friberg there and i've seen enough of him in the AHL and we lose his rights at the end of this season.

Here's the stream to watch Ylonen,

Ylonen is on the 2nd PP, he had a nice entry into the zone skating the puck in with good speed. The overall game has been kind of sloppy and not much has really happened so far. I missed the first few minutes due to work but should be able to see the rest of the game.

Thought Ylonen was going to put one home on the PP, the goalie knocked the net off when trying to get over, didn't see if the goalie got it or the shot went wide.

Been a really boring game though.

damn just missed setting up a goal, nice pass from Ylonen and his teammate didn't get much on the shot and it just trickled pass the net as a little to the left and it was a goal as the goalie couldn't get over.

lol Ylonen is just too good for that Pelicans team, no one comes close to his talent level... I feel like he will lose his time, was ready to be a dominant AHL player... Should have signed him already...

Both Ylonen and Olofsson's teams won, they play again on Sunday. Here are the stats,

Ylonen - 0 pts, E, 2 shots, 17:34 TOI
Olofsson - 0 pts, -1, 5 shots, 14:12 TOI, 2 out of 4 FOW, so he must have been on the wing.

Ylonen showed some things in the offensive zone but other then that wasn't too noticeable. Very boring game overall.

Can we give him a try at the camp ? Is he coming ? He seems ready for the ahl

No he won't be at camp since he's playing with his team right now.
