Like the trade from both sides. But it was funny that Frost has more goals with the Flames (one) than the Flyers scored in the past three games.
Philly fans, this might interest you, on After Hours last night, Scott Oake and Ryan Leslie interviewed Dustin Wolf, and when asked about the trade his exact words describing Pelletier was "Pelts is the face of the room in there", which I find to be extremely high praise, especially since Wolf has played with Pelts his entire pro career at both the AHL and NHL level.
That's weird, because the Flyers still have a dozen forwards on the roster who produced less than they did.
My thoughts exactly. These past few months I had high hopes that the Flames would finish low enough to draft a game breaker or two over the next couple of years. Now I know we never will. We had our chance with Tkachuk and we all know how that turned out. Can we get lucky and find a diamond in the rough outside of the top of the first round? We did once with Gaudreau. Can lightening strike twice in the same spot? I wouldn't bet the house on it.
Frost has looked really, really good in Calgary.
Like, he's unlucky to not have 3 points if not more already. Missed a wide open cage last night and in the first night looked great on the PP and centering his line.
Farabee hasn't looked that good, he's playing with our 'top line' (again, I use this very, very lightly). Could take him a bit of time to get acclimated as clearly the third wheel on that line.
It's still really early, like the Calgary guys haven't even played yet for Philly; but the way Frost has looked... if he keeps this up (which who knows if he will), this is going to go down as one of those really bad ones.
Saw a bit of the Sat game, Frost will do well in Calgary. He’s a smart player, great vision and passing touch, and can score.Frost has looked really, really good in Calgary.

Frost does lack finishing ability, that's one of his flaws. He played with Michkov quite a bit and missed an alarming amount of wide open nets. That being said, I'm glad he's looked good in Calgary, saw his first goal, was a beauty.
Obviously the team would love him to turn into an all-star 1C but if he can even maintain decent two-way play and about 15 goals a season, I think we’d be okay with the trade. Like his ability to transport the puck through the neutral zone/across the blue line.
Hurts to see Pelletier go and truly hope he puts it all together in Philadelphia, but he could have been had for free a few months ago. Love to see him pull a Byron and make us look foolish.

that Farabee contract could suck if he continues to suck, but most likely he'll be near worth it.
Well one's a Russian and other's French Canadian. It's no wonder they are having a difficult time getting through USA customs now.Farabee and Frost are going to be playing in their fourth game for Calgary, yet the two players the Flyers received in the deal have not even shown up in Philly yet. This is the most one sided trade I've seen for a long time. Tonight the Flyers are playing Washington and they will probably get beaten by several goals.
Visa issues. Kinda surprised Pelts is having so many issues because he played in Stockton. Kuzy is not surprising because hes never played for an American team.Farabee and Frost are going to be playing in their fourth game for Calgary, yet the two players the Flyers received in the deal have not even shown up in Philly yet. Cates and Hathaway would be welcomed on most teams. Probably not on market. Cates made Frost redundant. Farabee was 11th scoring forward, lets not get carried away. 2nd pick has shot at being best player of that trade in a few years. Pelletier could be pleasant surprise. And also, they're still on the roster because nobody likely wants them. They're not abysmal players by any stretch, but the phone won't exactly be ringing off the hook with GMs wanting Cates, Poehling and Hathaway. Frost and Farabee were traded because someone else wanted them.
