Just no, Flames have no interest in trading their most valuable player on the team. It is insanely hard to aquire #1 dmen and Brodie is the real deal. You rarely see trades for top 15 dmen and there's a reason

Calgary passes, if they were going to trade Brodie and Backlund in one package other teams are offering a lot better.

Yeah i agree . My bad . I 'll get crucified for bringing up gallagher's name but brodie would be awesome.

Brodie is 26 going on 27

Not exactly young

I think many under value beaulieu based on pts. That's fine

Dougie Hamilton cost a 1st and two seconds

holy mother ****ing christ... so now a player will need to be 18 or 19 to considered young in the NHL

by the way your offer sucks

we'll trade you Weber for a 1st and 2nd... he's 31, he's old and washed up

Larson for Hall? Jones for RyJo? Subban for Weber? Uhmm Brodie for what? Gally + 1st(it'll be in 20-30 range) + something or Chuky + something

I mean let's get real. It would be Brodie for Galchenyuk straight up just.like those kther deals. And neither of our teams.would do it. It'd gut Montreal's centers and it'd gut our defense.when we don't need more centers

Its funny cuz even without Price, the Habs are miles ahead of your flames. But keep thinking the Habs are all about Price :laugh:

Habs showed last year what they are without Price. How can you even make that argument? Adding Radulov? lol

As for OP, absolutely terrible for flames. I will give him credit for one thing: I'm only a couple pages in, but he hasn't gotten sooky for getting ripped apart yet

The only thing i dont like is that instead of countering something people just seem to be offended and say GIMME GALCHENYUK OR GET OUT.

its very intense for whats supposed to be a fun board

nothing wrong with..

hey that OP was way undervalued IMO. how about you add something. or whatever.

I mean people always over value their own sides, hell we do it too.

But i mean, a 1st, a 2nd and beaulieu for Brodie may be an underpayment. sure.. ill accept it.

and ill accept the argument that CAL has no interest is trading him. also fine. but the + you would have to add to that package isnt as significant as most peopel think. people on HF really undervalue draft picks.

Dougie got a first and two seconds... thats it. nothing else.

ill give the flames a first and two seconds for dougie.

but no.. they want more. cuz he is worth more to us now then he was before. even though his stats and play dropped.

its fickle.

You've got to be kidding!?! HF UNDERvalues draft picks??? hahaha
Thanks man, I needed a laugh.

I did post already giving you credit for being reasonable in the face of people flaming your (terrible) proposal. You're right, there is almost never a reasoned response from most posters.
Bottom line, it will take a lot more than your offer to get a 1D out of Calgary

Weber has at least four to five dominant years ahead of him. Those who think otherwise are making s huge mistake

And Brodie will
Never play 28 minutes( never played more then 24in career ) and never put up the points weber does

Man, that is one heck of an assumption. He's on the wrong side of 30, and plays the physical shutdown style that has historically led to shorter prime years. He could
be dominant into his mid-thirties, but it's hardly something you can say with such certainty

There's no indication to the contrary. We'll let time decide, until then, it's just speculation.

By the way, who's team do you support? It's really not obvious.

Webers performance this 1/4 season has shown no indications, that's probably true. And, to be perfectly fair, he's been fantastic for you guys.
It's not speculation to say many hockey players who play physical like Weber slow down quickly when the time comes. Or that many physical players end up having a shorter prime than someone like say Karlsson, who isn't putting nearly as much strain on his body.
You're quite right, only time will tell. I politely reminded the guy I was talking to that "at least" 4-5 more years at the top of his game is assuming a lot.

I'm a Leafs fan, for whatever that has to do with anything.

Just a question to find out. It's really hard to tell on HF sometimes.
