Well another season is in the books. That was a good Grey Cup game and, thankfully, Winnipeg won.

Now Hamilton fans can cry oskee waa waa waa all the way home.

Looking forward to the off season moves and the start of next season. I've been meaning to grab Argos season tickets for a while now and we're finally doing it for next season. Can't wait for it to start.

I guess you will sleep good tonight since the Ti Cats lost.

In the beginning of the 4th quarter the Ti Cats should have went for it instead of settling for the field goal. They knew they would be going against the wind and it would be tough to score. Their defense was playing good and they should have been able to trust them to shut it down.

What about the 1 point safety they gave on the punt return ?

Weird.

Cant believe that defensive back got a finger on that end zone pass. so painful

yeah that’s another one to. The thing with that is if they run it out are they able to still go down the field starting further back. You never know.

That was a mistake 100%. He would have brought the ball out to at least the 20, probably more. Returns are easier on the bigger field.

Mistakes happen. Looked like the lineman with the late hit was going to be the goat before that.

This is tough. Is this their 5th Grey Cup lose in 9 years? They just can’t seem to get it done.
This was the fourth loss in 8 seasons. Yeah that seems to be the case

2013 - Killed by the hosting Roughriders
2014 - heartbreak with the illegal block to the back
2019 - Killed by the host Blue Bombers
2021 - Finally hosting after 25 years. Up 12 going into the fourth, the hope and belief starts to set in.... The heart break happens over 5 minutes + OT

and ...

There was a larger distance between the punt returner and the Winnipeg because of the longer wind assisted kick.
Yup... I think it comes down to US players are just so used to taking the knee once the ball is kicked into the end zone, and they have a hard time getting their head around the rouge.

He was a yard deep. Any player from any country returns that. Such a bizarre play.

Old news for most I'm guessing, call me out of the loop, I didn't know the Argos' attendance was that bad. And the team had a good season. And in Canada's largest city.

Again, the Ticats really hadn't had much going for them on offense when driving against the win. For that reason, I understand why Coach O wanted the guaranteed ball at the 35. It was a risk mitigation play and I can kind of see where he was coming from.

I understand why it was done, it doesn't make it correct.

A fun game, and a great example of why the CFL game is so much better than the NFL version.

As an Argos fan, I really didn't care who won (I had a slight preference for Winnipeg, while my wife went with Hamilton), so I could just enjoy all the good plays, and yell at the TV for the mistakes.

Roast beef with pan roasted potatoes, carrots, and onions, and a bottle of VQA red wine made the evening perfect.

Certainly your opinion but it sounds like even the league is looking at rule changes to make it more like the NFL.

I assume you mean specifically going to four downs?

Personally, I don't like the idea. I think it would be a bad move for the CFL, similar to Toronto getting an NFL franchise. For me, the good news is that I've heard them talk about this on and off for at least fifty years, and I'm sure they were doing it long before I started watching.
