It sounds good in theory but I'd don't think there is enough talent to go around. It would just make for a poorer product.

This is a good point.

Also some of those cities that were mentioned I would say are questionable. Speaking about the London possibility I would say no way. There isn't a big stadium here to support it at all and I doubt one gets built because quite frankly London seems to me like it is just a hockey city. You may eventually be able to get a solid fan base in London, but I think it would take a long time and a lot of years in the red to get to that point.

It's hard to take expansion seriously when they've talked about it since the 80's. They claim they're doing research on it, but haven't they by now already?

I hope they do expand, but how long is this going to take?

Getting the gov't to pledge financial support towards a stadium must be difficult.

Ottawa is already getting a team, they'll enter the league in two seasons if I remember correctly.

Yepp, I know.

Does any of Quebec City, Halifax, Moncton or Victoria have stadiums big enough to house a team? Any expansion will likely require a prerequisite of funding for a brand new stadium as well as completion of the construction.

They would need a more than a bit more. Practice squad players make more in the NFL than the CFL, never mind 2nd/3rd stringers.

I agree that Quebec City and Halifax would be great markets.
Sure but guys like Kurt Warner(sp) were bagging grocerie before getting a shot in St. Louis with the greatest show on turf.

The CFL might have to increase the number of import players but I think expansion is viable.

Whacha gonna do??? when the STAMPEDE runs wild over you???

Cornish is unstoppable.
Got stopped pretty well the two times CGY played Toronto.
Going down Toronto!

YEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAW...

Going downtown about 5 times against the Stamps d.

Im guessing you havent been following blackberry recently... Really doubt he has the disposable income for a professional sports team at the moment.
A CFL team is peanuts to run. Peanuts to buy. We're talking less than 1/10 of an NHL franchise.

They only need 20,000 or so seats. Some expansion to an existing University stadium could work in some cases.

"We...stand on guard for thee...we stand on guard for thee"

That's how Burton has always sung the anthem. Not a mistake. He has always omitted "God keep our land," singing "O Canada" in its place, followed by the repetition of "we stand on guard" twice.

It is still a mistake to sing the anthem wrong. There is ONE ENGLISH VERSION. Why people think it is okay to change anthems I will never understand.

Hahaha..was a pretty bad butchering of Oh Canada by Mr.Guess Who. Agreed.....The anthem should be sung the way it was written. No room for artistic licence. Personally I could do without anthems at sporting events unless they are international competitions like the World Cup, Olympics etc....
