McManis said don't ride the wave, be the wave. What a guy. You love looking at turnovers and I thought of you when Lucky made that another brutal play. Whats he even doing? Replays showed he fumbled the ball on his own. What a clown. Can't secure a ball to save his job. Doubt he'll have one and I hope not here.

Agreed that Bombers didn't make much of turnovers they did get but Collaros wasn't even running the offense. Really incredible a QB with this much experience gets this lost, repeatedly, in the big game. I'm not sure he ever was able to relax. Going longball on first drive, to me that spelled trouble. I feel for Oliviera really, and he's on the sidelines I'm sure wondering WTF with this game plan. Argos didn't really even have to stop him. His own team did.

Perhaps a "Lucky fumble" can replace an "Argo bounce" in the CFL lexicon. One and the same today. It still felt like Winnipeg was in control of the game at that point, but when that fumble happened the seed of doubt began germinating. I was surprised Lucky was in the unemployment line half the season. Now I know why.

Just to add to the surreal the Argos have now beat the Bombers in every one of 8 Grey Cups they've faced them. Uncanny. Argos have also won their last 8 GC's they've been in. A string stretching decades that defies any probability. A lot of the wins have been underdog wins. A lot of the wins have been luck wins.

Last team to beat the Argos in a GC were the Eskimos in 1987 game in a wild and wooly last second FG win. Most people here weren't even born when the Argos last lost a GC. One of those ARgo wins was such a heartbreaker in 96. I felt we got jobbed in that one. Eskimos played so well, made so many plays in tough field positions, best ever GC, and we still lost. 80pts scored GC.

Garbage time TD gives the Bombers a respectable amount of points scored. Toronto defence crushed them twice in the regular season why expect something different today? The demolished them again today. One long bomb and a big rush by Oliveira was about all the did.

The penalty on the blocked punt was ridiculous. The players should know the rules. He could have let the Argo recover the ball and just tackled him. It would have been a Bombers' first down. Too bad, so sad.

Solid game by Arbuckle. Over 36 minutes time of possession. The first pick he threw was like a punt, the second was Willie Jefferson being Willie Jefferson.

The rule isn't a punt interference rule, it's interference on a loose ball. The guy doesn't interfere and the Bombers would have got the ball no matter who recovered.
I know what the rule is, the thinking is that the ball could be advanced by the recovering team. I was just referring to the play as that was a significant call. The score, time, field position. I don't like that you can't get in the way of another player or interfere with someone recovering a fumble. But I'm aware of that penalty due to watching, playing and coaching for 50+ years. That Bombers player needed to know that too.

How about that Toronto mojo in Grey Cups? 8 wins in a row is unbelievable considering they haven't been favoured in any of the last five. The Argos have been average for 20 years and consistently win a quarter of the championships. Just one of those CFL things lol.
It balances out with 1967. You know?

What's with Brady Oliviera only having 11 carries? He should have had over 20 at a minimum.
Especially with Collaros' hand injury. I'm not sure why someone who apparently never wore a glove before was trying downfield bombs in the biggest game of the year.
