Not sure whether to laugh, be amused or afraid. Never thought of that angle, Whoah.

You’re evil.

Can't take credit for it, someone mentioned it on Elksherd and who knows, he may not be terrible as president even though he was terrible as Commissioner, but I'd rather look elsewhere.

For some people on here, they'd maybe glad to hear that I heard through a pretty good source that he's either in favor of a name change back or at least was opposed to the change in the first place.

If Fleming is named Prez a whole bunch of the old timers who left will likely come back and buy season tix. Could be looking at thousands more in attendance per game next season.

Holy shit was that an embarrassing & pathetic interview by Gregor with Tre Ford (embarassing and pathetic by Gregor). Incredibly weak/unprofessional. If he had a scintilla of introspection, he should be ashamed.
Ford comes across as a decent guy, but he also comes across as a guy who really doesn't take responsibility for his shortcomings.

Fleming didn't want the job but I think the Morris pick is solid.

Morris inherited a very tough situation at the U of A and turned it around.

Hopefully he can do the same with the EE.

From a football perspective - good move.

From a business perspective - I don't know if he would have the chops to handle the massive challenge and complexities associated with this organization.

If the play is fixing the Football Ops side, get the team winning, and then the fans will organically come back, then he's probably a great pick. I just don't know if that's truly the right play or not.

Like the Edmonton football ties, but it's extremely concerning his first role in professional sports is as President and CEO while also having zero business background outside a bit of administrator experience as a Principal.
He ticks a lot of boxes. He really needs to hire the right GM

Not as concerned with the financial part of it, just hire a good CFO.

Morris just needs to set the tone and direction of the organization.

I like going with a football guy for the position. The CFL is too niche to bring in another outsider who was successful only in non-football related endeavours. Thompson ran an enormously successful business, I'm thinking him or his people will be able to handle that end of things if Morris lacks the experience to do so. Having a prominent local alumnus back in the fold is a positive thing I believe.

To some extent the President's position is a "figure head" anyway.

I'm sure LT has a number of associates who can offer the right financial advice. I'm sure LT could do it himself if necessary.

We had some "business types" in there previously-- like that beer salesman-- and that didn't turn out too well.

Presson supposedly had the same credentials --but was sent kicking stones within 2 years.

Neither one knew anything about football.

Morris is the first guy that makes some sense to me since Hugh Campbell. Surprised its not Fleming though.
