There's nobody local with actual money and the football savvy required lining up to buy the franchise, that's been painfully obvious for a long time. We have to live with the Saputos, whether we like it or not.

The funniest thing to happen with the new direction would be to bring in Jesse Saputo as first player

Saputo will not sell his kids' favorite toy.
I agree
Let's see what the Saputo Juniors do first
Why? They're not the owners yet they're going to be making the football decisions despite having zero creditability. They're probably even shit at Football Manager. They're not the ones that set the budget. Aside from the "baseless hope" that they could convince Joey to spend more, do we really think it would be significant enough to go anywhere? This team needs to be willing to spend an extra 8 - 9 million in yearly salary and about 15 - 17 million in transfer fees. I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell that they'll ever be able to convince him to do that.

1 - We don't know that.
2 - You don't need to have an owner to have the football savvy, they just have to have the vision and balls to risk going for it and bringing in people who do have football savvy, just like any other sports owner.
3 - The Saputo's do not have any football or business savvy, otherwise they wouldn't have lost so much money on the team(s) over the years, and they'd actually have won something significant.
4 - Before you mention the cheese business, let's be honest here, they didn't get to where they are by being savvy.
5 - There is no reason whatsoever to think that the family is the only answer for MLS in this city and therefore I will never accept this shitty situation.
6 - Truth be told, I'd also be ok with them selling and the team relocating or dropping to CPL.

Lmao @ point 4. Not disagreeing.

The Saputos, even by losing money every year, will get all that back and then some, the day they sell.

For #1, ideally, Péladeau or Molson buys the team. Péladeau has shown in a short time that he's able to run a sports business with the Als. As for Molson, even if the on-ice product hasn't been pretty for most of his tenure, it's not for lack of spending. And he has invested in other areas of the team. Of course, it's one of the most profitable franchises in the NHL so that helps.

Most of the Renard players left on the team could be gone this offseason with Coccaro joining is old coach in Paraguay who just let go their main striker

Are we getting Bologna rejects or new young promising players?

Martinez, Coccaro, Wanyama, Lassi for sure that's 4.
Iankov - Dunno. He hasn't been part of the team or gotten in to games. Maybe it's an adjustment period and he'll be better next year. Part of it is that he didn't have the speed to keep up but you could see the skills were there.
Saliba - Dunno. I think they'd be stupid to sell him now because as much as he made positive progression, there are still major aspects of his game that needs improvement that I'm guessing other teams see and will therefore not make a significant money offer. Better off waiting at least another year for him to get better. He's also only 20 so there's no need to rush a sale.
1 o r 2 or more CB's - I just can't see us coming back with the exact same 5. They were a disaster defensively though in part I feel it's because of the system but even then, needs major improvement.
Zouhir - He's here just because based on all reports when he was loaned out, people we're saying the team was done with him. Has that changed? Dunno.
Ibrahim - We know that he can't be happy in the role he has. I also don't think he's in there plans moving forward as anything more than a sub or spot starter. He tried to get out once before, he'll probably try again.
Opoku - Don't think he's in there plans as he hasn't lived up to expectations though he's obviously had injury trouble.
JAV - Let's be honest, he's had injury issues, conditioning issues, and from what we've read, off field issues related to commitment and conditioning issues. They may want to walk away from him or JAV might want out too. Hard to say.
Breza - Maybe he wants to be a starter somewhere else

These are all the guys I can see leaving. Does it mean that all will leave? No, because at the same time, they still need a roster next year and it'll be tough to replace all of them over one winter off season especially since all of the other leagues are in the middle of their season and teams are hesitant to let players walk mid season.
So far my list has been pretty spot on. Gone are Martinez, Wanyama, Lassi, Zouhir, Corbo and Sosa are the 1 or 2 CB's and Iankov and Coccaro are rumored to leave as well.

I can still see Ibrahim and Opoku leaving as well, and I still wouldn't rule out JAV being loaned out.

I don't know if the situation has changed , but Ibrahim was definitely wanting out during the season, according to rumors at least.
