Marinaro says the real DS is Luca. Makes sense, he's the liaison to Bologna and the eyes and ears of Joey.

Gervais said in his press conference that everyone reported to him, but he is just a patsy, they don't want Luca or Joey taking the heat for the recurrent PR disasters.

This is why I will never believe anything being reported by the team ever again. What they say is never the reality of the situation, yet too many people, including many in the media, buy into the bullshit. It's all about controlling the narrative so they can protect the familia.

That CF Montreal supporters group on Facebook is something else.

As I've been saying for a long time, the issue was the system, and the hockey comment is spot on because what he was telling his CB's to do is exactly how hockey players play defense in terms of attacking the oncoming forward.

I'm afraid of the evaluation they're doing on the defensive woes. Can't disagree with the yeeting of those coaches though.

Hoewever, we need players who can hold the ball up front, badly. That alone will help out our defence tremendously.

As much as I like Saliba, he does tend to be reckless with the ball during important phases.

Piette did a good job cleaning up after him, but I feel like they need much better ball control and orientation at mid. Without mentioning, just depth in general.

It all starts with a better possession game, no defensive structure will work when we're doing the ropeadope for a full 10 minute sequence . That aspect got a lot better with the new guys in the second half of the second, so there's some hope there IMO.

This has always been my vision of things. But it costs money.
