I don't know if I'm going to renew Cox (or even go with a satellite package) after I move... The only times I saw the games firsthand was when we had the old school jerseys... It sucks missing out on Bob and Jim because of a butt ugly logo...

Must be sad that you can't watch the cup run either.

This is friggin hilarious, in that we've all been debating the 'new' logo for the last couple weeks.....and now this. We got some pissed off posters right about now, ha.

Can somebody photoshop the home plate logo with the colora flip-flopped? Just wanna see how it would look.

I think you need the actual .psd file to do that. I am no expert, I really don't know how to convert colors from a bitmapped image.

I researched in google. Amazing the things you find. Now I have seen it all, I really have.

Maybe I've been staring at it too long, but the homeplate logo is starting to grow on me. I like the clean, sharp look of it on center ice.

it looks great on the ice thats for sure. and i dont mind the logo in general but looks much better in the ice. that could be because the rest of the ice hasnt been laid on top of it yet.

that was sick! i feel so incompetent now haha

Such an awful logo. Wish we kept the crown EVERYWHERE. The day we switch jerseys, assuming they too aren't total ****, I'm buying one. I just now gave in and bought a new sweatshirt with this crap logo because my two old sweatshirts with crown logos on em are old and trash now.

I also bought a vintage looking North Stars sweatshirt but that's another story. And a whole lot of sexy.

Looks really sharp. As Ron said, seeing the puck should be no problem once the ice is laid down.

Not sure which way you wanted them flipped, so I tried every combo of black/white/silver:

Good job.

But they suck no matter what color you do. It's the team's penchant to put L.A. or Los Angeles on their jerseys. They need to get away from that and be more traditional, like the original 6 are, and simply put the crown on the jersey.

But we need a new crown...or make it smaller on the jersey then last time. The current one was just too obnoxious in its size. Needs to be smaller, and less obtrusive. Maybe more abstract...

Yeah folks, they suck because Ron says so. Ron wants the Kings to be more 'traditional' like the original six.....even though the Kings aren't part of the original six, makes perfect sense. Let's take a closer look at this theory:

Boston Bruins = has a big, fat 'B' in the middle of their logo. I'm not the brightest bulb in the batch, but that B could stand for Boston....but Ron will tell you it stands for Bruins.

New York Rangers = call me crazy, but I believe the words 'New York' are predominantly displayed in that logo. That logo must suck.

Toronto Maple Leafs =. That's odd, there's the word 'Toronto' smack dab in the middle of the leaf. Wait a second here, is Ron just messing with us??

On the plus side, won't we see our "forum blue" uniforms more often this year? Aren't they our official third jersey now or did I dream that?

It still is, and always will be a terrible logo but I never understood the marketing decision to only half switch to it. If you're going to do it then do it. There was no point keeping the crown at center ice when it was no longer our logo.

Actually, I was thinking more in terms of Detroit and Chicago, where the logos are simple and denote their nicknames. No city/geographical name is necessary. Our original sweaters were like that too, but we really can't go back to that, because those crowns are really outdated. The substitute crowns (still on the logo) were not the answer either. I can't even say they were a marked improvement. That's why I think a more abstract crown would work.

In any event, it appears you are ready for the season to begin. Your narcissistic cynicism looks to be in high gear.

Just tired of all the whining about the current logo...

I would have never bought an older logo jersey, but I certainly didn't whine about it. This is the logo that our Kings have won the cup with....and I'm betting they've sold better than any other jersey in our history, so you might has well get used to it, folks.

Chicago's is not simple. No one in graphic design would call having a full on Native American head as your logo simple.

No, when they go back to something I like, you can get used to it.

Simple in concept, not design. Same as the Kings original logo. That is noisy all over the place, but the concept is simple and straightforward.

No city name, no initials, no extra-crap all over the place. Just a straight-forward logo. You don't have to tell viewers where you are from. This isn't the 1930s and 1940s, where there was no television and spectators coming to the baseball parks didn't necessarily know who the opponent was that day.
