Millennials are tech savvy, it's Gen Z that were corrupted by oversimplification. I was shocked to learn that some of my younger family members literally could not download a file.

The most used devices today like iPhones or tablets come ready made out of the box and are so easy to operate that there's no reason to attempt anything besides what's already laid out for you.

Also the internet today is more about socializing than exploring, the way it used to be. The wild wild west of anonymity.

To truly access the internet you used to have to be computer literate.

That chart up thread for example, it was such a disparity between PP and Even Strength. That basically tells me Macklin needs to shoot and score more on the power play. He is very capable of that.

I don't know if there's widespread acceptance for hockey WAR because hockey valuation metrics are so much trickier than baseball (since the latter is a conclusive chain of discrete events rather than freeflowing chaos) but the concept of WAR (the value a player adds over and above the hypothetical talent level of some random, broadly available waiver castoff type of replacement player) is pretty universal so I would be surprised if there wasn't a WAR equivalent for almost any team sport that's had any amount of analysis done for it.

Honestly impressive that Macklin has figured out the 5v5 more than the PP.
PP will be a piece of cake for him in no time, like you said he probably needs to be the scorer for it work.

The PP goal against STL was the ‘fine I’ll do it myself’ moment. He’s mostly been used as a zone entry machine and as the QB because he’s the best passer/decision maker on the first unit.

I’d like to see him with Smith running things from the right halfwall, Walman as the heavy point shot and Celebrini in the left circle.

With more time and space Smith will be able to manipulate things to give Mack the opportunity to either shoot from a more dangerous position or move the puck back across the face of goal.

I don’t know who else is put with those three, but they’d be locked into my PP1. Probably Granlund and Tofolli, though I could see one of those two and Wennberg/Kunin as the net front.

While I think I have Martone 4th, he’d be a dream net front option for the PP for the next 15 years.
