It's naïve to think that Bourque and Stankoven will continue to produce at a 1.33PPG rate, but if they do, I really wonder about the possibility of them being 'deadline acquisitions' by trading away Marchment/Faksa/Dellandrea. The window to win for the Stars is by no means closing, but you do want to ice your best rosters to contend and Stankoven and Bourque are better than quite a few players on the main roster.
Cant Dallas just send Marchment down in this scenario? The cap savings should be enough to bring one up. No reason to burn assets to move Marchment this season when you can try moving him for cheaper in the offseason after paying this years salary and next summers signing bonus. Or simply buy him out.

He would hold some value in a trade. Not a lot, mind you, but he's big and decently productive. He's the type GMs want (hence the bidding war with Carolina for him).

It's not like the Stars lack scoring depth and need Stankoven/Bourque, so it won't happen. I just wish that they could make the fourth line another threat.

Texas plays at 6pm tonight. 3pm tomorrow but think I'll end up missing that one sadly

Gavin White is making his pro debut tonight for Texas. Turnover on his first shift nearly led to a goal tho

Both Felhaber and Gurianov are on the other team

Kyrou picked up the secondary assist on that Stankoven goal

Seminoff just ripped a shot off the post. Wicked release and somehow stayed out even after hitting the back of the goalie

Tied 1-1 going into the 3rd. Tying goal looked wayyy offsides but I guess they can't challenge in the AHL?

Stankoven scores on the PP. His 2nd goal on the night. This one ties the game with under 5 minutes to play. Bourque might pick up the 2nd assist on it

I wonder if he could go goal-per-game at the AHL level. You know there are going to be home games where he and Bourque go nuts on the PP

This kid has to be part of the team this year.

Benn - WJ - Stank
Daddy - Duchene - Seguin

I want it!
Don’t rush Stank in too early but I agree. I think Logan will fit in just as Johnston did with Benn if it happens.

At that point Dadonov will be the physical winger who’ll balance Seguin and Duchene and put that line together; Marchment isn’t it.

Stank appears to be NHL ready which is awesome. As does Borque.

But no need to force a move.

Could see him in the NHL line up when injuries push the depth perhaps after new year.

Let him keep growing with Texas for 2 or 3 months

Bourque just hit the post on a breakaway. Would've been an assist for Stankoven

Chicago comes down and scores at the other end to make it 1-0 late in the 2nd

Bourque takes a penalty now too while killing the other one. 5 on 3 for 49 seconds. Big moment in this game

Stranges honestly looks so good. Everytime the puck is on his stick I feel like something will happen. Outside of Bourque and Stankoven he is the most impressive forward for me so far this season

As I'm typing this he takes an O zone penalty but outside of that lol
Stranges kind of reminds me of how good Damiani looked his first year.

I think Poirier just robbed someone with a stick save on a mostly open net chance. He is pretty impressive. Definitely more confident in him than Murray. Texas managed to not get scored on during the 5 on 3

Bourque should probably have a hat trick in this game right now. Several incredible opportunities right around the net

Another incredible save by Poirier on a wide open net chance. At least I think he got a piece of it
