In the first period, it was one of the Caps d-men crossing the line at speed and trying to retrieve the puck. Seemed to be working, too.So the big adjustment was to chip it in with everybody standing flatfooted? 3 forwards should be going full speed and hitting the blueline just as the puck crosses, not this nonsense.
He isn’t skating. That is my issue.Nah, they just need to stop forcing the puck to him when there's 2 guys right on top of him. They've done it 3 or 4 times.
I was screaming for this all year. They never even tried it onceDoesn’t matter much now but still feels like we missed an opportunity to try Ovi in the bumper for PPs. He can park his ass right in front and he can still open up and get tips. But I’m not a coach but I have a heart attack seeing him near the point
I don’t feel like he’s adjusted to the pace of the league and is rushing things. This is THE hardest environment to play in as a pro.It pains me to say this as I had such high hopes, but I am very unimpressed by RL. How he let Staal beat him to that puck is beyond me. Not even seeing flashes of anything.
