When fully healthy (minus Chinakhov because you can’t count on him)

Voronkov-Monahan-Marchenko
Jenner-Fantilli-KJ
JVR-Sillinger-Olivier
ZAR-Kuraly-Danforth
LaBate (or a different extra)

Werenski-Fabbro
Provorov-Severson
Mateychuk-Gudbranson
Christiansen, Johnson

Harris waived (or they carry 8 D and run 7 D sometimes)
I like that, but would still like to see a little more skill/2-way play in the bottom 6.

I have to give Sillinger credit - last night looked like perhaps his best game this season. He did well especially on regaining puck possession leading to Johnson's first goal.

I was thinking about this.
I say give Elvis the Dallas game, then Tarasov the 1st Red Wings game on Thursday.
The Elvis gets the outdoor game.

*p.s..Soooo pumped to go to that outdoor game

If you can slide Olivier down and fill that spot with a middle 6 W I’d feel a lot better. 3 points in his last 22GP.

At this point the FO should look to build their top 9 without Chinakov. I’m not trading him now but to rely on him returning as a regular fixture just isn’t prudent. Rather they should fill that spot thru a trade/acquisition. If Chinakov does return and shows he can stay healthy that’s great. It gives the team roster flexibility. But right now it’s just not a healthy situation to place a high confidence level in him being the solution to our hole in the top 9.

Considering our injury history, we should get a couple more solid top 9 forwards regardless

didn’t see this myself to confirm it, but apparently Waddell was on the pregame show against Chicago (either on TV or radio) and said they were close to a few signings that they wanted to finalize this week? Can anyone confirm if they saw or heard this? I’ve seen multiple posts about it on the reliable platform that is Twitter.

Does anyone have a sense regarding Chinakov if the concern is that he's having pain and they can't isolate the cause or that he risks further damage to whatever it is they've isolated? (Sorry for the narrowly-drawn distinction. It's my thing.)

With the info we've seen so far it would be pretty hard to narrow down in any direction. Like we know he tightens up skating but we don't know why. Who knows, with the kinetic chain his root cause might not even be what we think and the back pain/tightness is just a symptom. Tough to gauge even if we had more info but with how tight lipped they have been it's impossible

It's very likely that if we learn anything about his injury, it'll be through an off the cuff Russian language interview he (or the other Russians) give rather than anything the team or Waddell releases
