CBJP's "oh man, not again" I believe is more over the ordeal he went thru with Milano last year, the angry BC ppl coming after him like he has any say in the matter...

London isn't so bad, great fish and chips.

That's funny!
I'm sure that most of you know that the London Knights are one of the premier organizations in Canadian junior hockey, and I can tell you that their fans (including myself) are anxiously awaiting word of Werenski's destination for the 2015-16 season. The Hunters have been quite successful at acquiring talent from south of the border, and Zach's development would certainly benefit from playing in the OHL with its 68 game schedule plus playoffs.
I'm not saying that the OHL is to be preferred over U.S. college hockey, that's a debate that I'd rather not enter, but for purely self-interested reasons, I'd like to see Werenski in London.
Any news on that front? Thanks.

Nothing definite, yet, but many of us agree with you about Werenski's next team.

Fingers crossed!
I'm also hoping that Josh Anderson (Knights' alumni) has a strong training camp and can crack the roster. Long shot, but I'll be watching.

He "did" last year. A few players, both touted and un-touted(traded), were kept over him or called up at different parts of the year when they shouldn't have. Part of that I'm sure had to do with them not wanting him sitting in the press box but for most of the year we had guys playing that were less effective than him.

Josh will be among the first callups for sure...love his game...

Just looking at his stats from last year(and somewhat jrs) you do kinda wonder why the numbers aren't at least a tad better. I'm sure a lot has to do with usage(players above him) on above average offensive teams, but from his short time here and video of him, he seems to have NHL size, speed, stickhandling and shooting. I don't claim to have seen him "in game" anymore than about 10(NHL/preseason) games but another possible reason I guess for the "lack" of scoring could be that he doesn't seem to be the smartest player on the ice. Not so much in making the "wrong" decision like an Umberger or Wiz, but not making the "right" decision ala Atkinson or 2012/13 Foligno. You just wish they'd do things a little bit different to give themselves a better chance at executing whatever they are attempting. But he is a rookie.

Another guy I want to bring up again that maybe deserves to be the 1st guy in Columbus(also depending on camp) is my boy TJ Tynan. A very good 2 way player. A more skilled, less gritty, pass 1st Calvert I think he could be compared to. Defensively responsible/smart enough to play wing on a Campbell line IMO. Size "could" be an issue at the NHL level playing center but he's no question(IMO) better than Chaput, Collins, Tyrell, Morin, Tropp, Gibbons...

Anderson was fabulous last year, in every way except for when he gets to the opponents net, where he doesn't seem to have a lick of sense.

I'm sure he'll impress in camp and would make a fine 4th line winger if we kept him. But we already have others who can do an okay job there, and maybe it would be better if Anderson gets extra minutes in the AHL to see if his offensive game can grow.

Sherwood had planned to play two years at Youngstown (USHL) then attend Boston University. Both were notified yesterday of his plans.

wasn't expecting that to happen

Very cool for the kid and I am glad we did this. I wondered if we would. I thought it would be smart as I expected him to get drafted next year.

Boston University was on him early and got the commit ahead of everyone, but can't blame the kid, signs with his hometown NHL team.

Only seen a handful of games from Sherwood at the U18 level last year, but strikes me as a finisher, good hands, smart game reader,N/S speed

Kole Sherwood's signing is great news--we're looking forward to having him play in front of 9000 fans (=sell out) here in London. He'll be joining a star-studded team consisting of...

Mitch Marner, Christian Dvorak, Matt Tkachuk, Max Jones, Victor Mete, Olli Juolesi, and dare I say/speculate....Zach Werenski! Still waiting for CBJ to make it official.

Quote from the article deserves special attention: " Sherwood will be the
first player signed directly out of the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets program, and the first Columbus-born player to sign a contract with the hometown NHL club."
Good luck, Kole.

Awesome for Kole.

As for Anderson, he may even be ahead of Rychel on the depth chart. I think if there is an injury to a bottom-6 winger, he will get the call.
