Wennberg with one assist as Frölunda won 5-2 against SHL opponent Färjestad in the European Trophy. Played an absolutely fantastic game.

Wennberg has 6 points in 6 European trophy games. Not bad for a teenager.

Dano played 10:41 and was noticable for Slovan. That's 3rd line minutes - 4 other forwards played even less. He scored on a nice one-timer from the circle after winning face-off:

Wennberg reminds me of Huselius on offense. Something about his skating style and the roads he takes.

Dano scored in his KHL opener. His team just got blown out 5-0 in their 2nd game. Looks like he was on the 4th line.

Would like it if he was getting more ice over there but I'm sure its better in the long run to play in the 2nd best league. I haven't watched him in game besides the WJC and don't know much about the other guys ahead of him, but I do question how he doesn't get more TOI. I know he's young, but how many of those guys even have the potential for the NHL or are seen as possibilities for the Olympics?

I'm sure he likes the money he's being paid and the KHL IS a good league but I really wonder if a player like him would benefit more from getting some real ice time and putting up points somewhere.

KHL is the 2nd best league in the world. This experience is great for him, and if Slovan struggles maybe he'll moveu p the lineup or move him elsewhere. WJC will be great for him

Slovan spread the ice-time pretty evenly between their players. Jonathan Sigalet played 20:25 and that's highest ice-time among defensemen. The lowest was 19:03.
BTW Sigalet spent a few years in the Blue Jackets organization and he could enlighten Dano about Springfield and AHL.
Highest ice-time among forwards was 17:43, Dano played 11:36, which is not that bad. Nichushkin last year in regular season was averaging less than 9 minutes per game and it didn't hurt his development. Then in the playoffs he EARNED his 15 minutes per game.

Plenty of talent throughout the league for the upcoming draft, and surprisingly enough, the crop from the OHL may be even better.

Looks like he was centering 3rd line with Fabian Brunnstrom on his wing and saw some PP time (he actually scored on the power play). Frolunda lost 2:3, former Blue Jacket Joakim Lindstrom had 3(2+1) points for Skelleftea:

IDK if that's a good or bad thing, but Christian Backman is Wennberg's teammate now.

Anton Forsberg started for Modo and got 2:1 OT win. His stats: 27 shots, 1 goal against, .963 SV%. Samuel PÃ¥hlsson is his teammate now, so having the former Selke trophy nominee in front might help Forsberg a bit.

My buddy works in the media in Regina ... will be interested to hear his take on Heatherington's game tonight. Typically after being sent back to their junior team after a pro camp, you see what a kid is made of.

IIRC cbjprospects told me he was in line to don the C up there...we have something like 4 or 5 prospects that are up for being captains this year i think...crazy to think what we have in the pipeline
