We've been over this. It is imperative that they finish in 9th or 10th in the conference so that we can simultaneously ruin our draft pick and management can go into the summer saying "see?!? nothing needs to be done!"

They are mental midgets - got to a playoff position before Thanksgiving and then fell apart as a tiny bit of expectation crept in (as well as missing their best player for half of that losing streak). Chicago before they built their Cup teams used to do this - suck until the playoffs were not achievable and then remember how to play the game. They're children.

While we're not exactly great outside of December, it turns out that being just ok is more than good enough in the league this year.

Similar to the stupid Covid year, this should have been an easier year to make the playoffs. What a wasted opportunity this season.

This is the type of stuff I'd expect out of a young team that's learning. Or, ya know, what I expected this team to do back in 22/23. Frankly, swap 22/23 with this year and everything makes a ton of sense.
