You have seen what this power can do. Where it has gone, it has conquered. But I have taught you everything I know. Turn to scriptures found in Urheilulehti and the Leading One's blog, Johtavan Pelikirja, for guidance.
Meanwhile Leading One has likely retreated into his summer cottage, somewhere on the Eurasian front.
To give a snapshot: in 2013 (!) when Erkka Westerlund was named as the head coach of KHL-side Jokerit Leading One stated the following:
"Westerlund couldn't coach 'meidän peli' in times of trouble."
Jump back to 2016... Jokerit hit the early exit after divisional title turns into play-off disaster against Novgorod as Westerlund's playbook melts.
Three months before 'meidän peli' has won the U-20 WJC which in turns accelerates three Finns into the top-5 of the 2016 draft.
Meanwhile Jarmo Kekäläinen, who I suspect is 'meidän peli'-sensitive (as evidenced by acquisitions of Wennberg, Hartnell, Dano) but not educated in the ways of it, sees through the draft hype. When a Savonian speaks, the responsibility passes on to the listener, we say in Finland. Maybe for this very reason Kekäläinen won't publicly acknowledge the power which hides in the play, surrounding everything around it.
