Wanted to share this wonderful letter penned to Cleveland fans by Nick Chubb. I personally had been a Browns fan since the mid-1980s despite growing up on Long Island and became a STH when I moved to Cleveland in the early 90s. My first jersey was a #92 Michael Dean Perry. Thirty years later I finally found a new number worthy of wearing: #24 Nick Chubb. LOVE the guy.

Sadly, the Browns traded away their dignity for a POS QB and I have not been able to take my Chubb jersey out or cheer for the team in 2+ years while DW is at QB. That said, a friend sent me a link to this letter and I love it...it's part of the reason I became such a Chubb fan in the first place. Hope you all enjoy. Browns need 50 more Nick Chubbs and not just on the field but off it as well.

Hey OSU football fans. I have friends coming in from Denmark in November and they want to see a game at the Shoe. I'm not an alum or a fan or a regular or anything - the handful of games I've seen has been from the goodwill of a friend. Anyway, it's the Nov. 23 game against Indiana, which people are telling me is gonna be a draw because Indiana is good. So I'm trying to get four of us in there somehow,

So how high is C deck? Does it take a long time to get there? What about going to the bathroom? Are the seats still bleachers? Online reviews seem to suggest not sitting in B.

Where are your favorite places to sit? I'm pretty sure we're just looking for the experience - not looking to spend more than a hundy-ish per ticket. Do you have a favorite third-party seller?

Thanks.

C deck is pretty high up and the aisles are steep. And unless you want to wait a long time to ride the elevator you’ll be climbing quite a few staircases. As for the bathrooms C deck has plumbing unlike the south stands where it’s just porta potty’s. B deck is very hit or miss due to the angle of the support beams being in your face. Sat in B deck for the UC game in 2014 and it was a fantastic view. 2015 blackout game against Penn St and had a section from the 40yd to line 20yd be an obstructed view. Gimme a sec and I’ll post a couple pics for reference.

2015 c deck against Minnesota, I was only 3 rows back so not bad of a view

It's really quite pathetic. Diamond Sports has taken one of the most marketable products on TV and found a way to lose tons of money broadcasting it.

If I am understanding this correctly, this is simply just another option for cord-cutters who do not subscribe to an internet package that includes FanDuel Sports Network and don't subscribe to FanDuel Sports as a stand-alone subscription.
  • If you subscribe to cable and live in Ohio you likely already get the Cavs games
  • If you subscribe to an internet package like Fubo or DirecTV Stream and live in Ohio you already get the Cavs games
  • If you pay for subscribe to Diamond's direct-to-consumer product and live in Ohio you already get the Cavs games
  • If you live outside the Cavs region and want their games you likely subscribe to GamePass or whatever the heck they call it
  • If you have none of the above but already subscribe to Amazon Prime, you can "add-on" for FanDuel Sports Network. No pricing has been mentioned but I suspect it won't be much cheaper than Diamond's direct-to-consumer product (like $20 per month). I know Fubo added something like $17 to their monthly fees when they picked up FanDuel Sports Network and you could not opt out of the sports channel. That's when I dropped Fubo.

OK, good people. Now that (this) game week is here, I need some help. Haven't been to a game at the Shoe in at least 25 years and the few that I have been to has been with an alum who was in charge of the game day experience.

Where is best to park? Should I have bought some sort of parking pass already?

Is there a place to buy gear/merch inside the stadium? If my Danish friends want a cap or shirt or something, where do we get it?

Any of you host a tailgate?

Are there enough food stands/stalls inside the stadium?

It used to be cheaper to buy merch outside. Although after the last home game of the year they used to discount merch in the stadium. I got my wife a Lauenitis jersey cheap after the last game years ago. I just like typing merch.

I used to park on the street south of campus and walk over. I found traffic was better south of campus - like you could cross the river at 3rd (and I lived west). Haven’t been for maybe 7 or 8 years.
