He allows offensive guys to play their game

That is rare

He isn’t even that expensive
I just don’t get it
Trust me Nashville fans have been trying to figure it out for years.

There are two things we've kind of spit balled that might explain it but neither of them are good reasons.

1. Josi was very vocal about wanting to play with Ellis, so the theory is that despite his season he didn't care for playing with Fabbro very much so let it be known.
2. Brunette wants his Dmen to be overly aggressive and more offensive minded, so he didn't care for Fabbro's more subdued safe style. He tried to beat it into him but at the end of the day Fabbro just isn't built that way.

Frankly I think its more likely #2, simply because we have seen Brunette do so many other things that make little to no sense. Just another reason Brunette should have been fired a month ago.

Sadly for us our owners won't step in and do anything, they never have. Not to mention ownership is in transition with the majority owner changing in July.

I’m not sure what’s more baffling ; this guy for free or a team including a 2 nd to take on Wallman
the Walman one is worse, because it does happen when your "prospect" is technically no longer a prospect and is just not getting the job done and to make room you're forced to waive the guy

And i think, despite the small sample size, CLB is confident that Fabbro fits the roster which then allowed them to trade their own underperforming asset (Jiricek) which resulted in multiple picks and a warm body

CLB is doing ok, NSH possibly had no choice, but DET though... no clue what's going on there

That's not the case with Nashville and Fabbro though, he would easily be our best RHD though and was a perfect fit with Josi on the top pairing. Brunette refusing to play Fabbro and playing Josi on his offhand until last week, I don't think it's a coincidence that Josi has been back on track since then.
