But I thought he was wheelchair bound for the rest of his life? /s

At least it’s not related to the knee. I was pretty concernedNot in the lineup tonight. Not sure if it's because of the knee he took, or if it's precautionary. It was reported earlier he wouldn't play in every game.
sigh
Eh, the team has the pressure of the NHL club and Lindstrom's long term health in mind so they are extra cautious. Especially after a game the team won without McKenna or Lindstrom, they probably didn't feel the need to force him in. Hes already done more this year than most expected a month agoDon’t want to be all doom and gloom but why does it feel like this is going to be Nathan Horton 2.0
Roller coaster of emotions. Just such an insane risk to take at 4OA. You better be right DW.

I know there is has been, there is and there will always be scepticism but I have always loved Lindstrom as he is EXACTLY what this franchise needs. Arguable one of the best PWF centers with a unicorn shot since Auston Matthews. If he turns out past this injury and hits his projected ceiling this is the best pick cbj could have taken in the draft at the position we were in. Yes, we could've taken demidov but we've already got ALOT of small puck skilled guys. We picked demidov we would've most likely seen KJ shipped out the door. Lindstrom makes the most sense as he has the potential to be our 1-2 punch. Fantilli 1C and a fully healthy Lindstrom 2C? Thats a big, gritty top 6 you could build there.Don’t want to be all doom and gloom but why does it feel like this is going to be Nathan Horton 2.0

Can't wait for the Moncton v Medicine Hat games. I nearly bought tickets but im working all week.Tigers Made the Memorial Cup Tonight! I wonder if they shut him down or if he ends up playing in the tournament
Just looked at a map, dang it has gotta be cold in Rimouski. I have been as far as QC along the St Lawrence and in the summer driven the coast of New Brunswick from the Maine border to Moncton to PEI and then across to Cape Breton and Nova Scotia. Beautiful country and had an amazing time but figure I would freeze my cojones off in the winter time.I know there is has been, there is and there will always be scepticism but I have always loved Lindstrom as he is EXACTLY what this franchise needs. That being said, he still needs to find a way to stay healthy and hit his skill ceiling.

Yeah, you got that right. Gotta love the east coast atlantic. Lots and lots of land and beautiful landscape. Rimouski is kinda close to the bay so its pretty windy around that saint laurent area. Although, you're kinda right winters are pretty miserable lol.Just looked at a map, dang it has gotta be cold in Rimouski. Also, looking at your profile picture of oli. His father Simon actually is a HC of a team here in NB! Edmunston Blizzard. They just got beat out of the centennial cup this year by calgary. Always thought it was very cool that Oli has alot of roots out here in New Brunswick. If im not wrong I believe after the season ended for CBJ, Oli came over to Edmunston to meet the team. Either that or it was a video call with the team lol.Just looked at a map, dang it has gotta be cold in Rimouski. Exactly. A lottery team took on huge risk with a top4 pick. There is a non-insignificant chance that we don’t even get an NHL level player out of a 4th OA selection…If he turns out past this injury and hits his projected ceiling this is the best pick cbj could have taken in the draft at the position we were in.
Who else would have made sense for us to draft?Exactly. A lottery team took on huge risk with a top4 pick. There is a non-insignificant chance that we don’t even get an NHL level player out of a 4th OA selection…
Demidov, or a RHD.Who else would have made sense for us to draft?
You just saw Lindstrom miss an entire developmental year due to a back injury (a disc injury), then saw him return healthy to play CHL games and watched him get injured in game 3 Columbus Blue Jackets' Cayden Lindstrom has charley horse after hit in WHL championship return for game 5 and get injured again, and are optimistic?I just simply don't agree and i have optimism that Lindstrom will be cbj's future 2C behind Fantilli.
Demidov we're just picking up a player we don't need. KJ becomes surplus and we have the same issue we have today. Move KJ and you're killing the chemistry between the young core cbj is growing.Demidov, or a RHD.
Remember the talk about Quinton Byfield in his D1? Although it wasn't a disc injury, where is he now? Erik Karlsson and Logan Couture both had disc injuries still ended up being important pieces to their respective franchises. Give the kid another year two before we can start calling him a bust. 6'3 power fowards that can skate, hit and have a unicorn shot do not grow on trees. You just saw Lindstrom miss an entire developmental year due to a back injury (a disc injury), then saw him return healthy to play CHL games and watched him get injured in game 3 Columbus Blue Jackets' Cayden Lindstrom has charley horse after hit in WHL championship return for game 5 and get injured again, and are optimistic?
Demidov fits quite perfectly with our core and potentially helps solidify guys like Voronkov and Marchenko to stay here long term( not that I have many doubts about them staying)Who else would have made sense for us to draft?
Unless cbj traded down to pick a defensemen like silayev or parekh. No one else in the top 10 made sense to draft unless you wanted to reach. Last years draft was super top heavy, i'd argue worse than this years draft. Same exact thing will happen with Carter Bear this year.
At 4OA Lindstrom has the highest ceiling in the draft minus 1OA. We pick demidov then we just have a russian KJ so he gets moved. Iginla was underwhelming until he got injured. Catton would be just another undersized puck skilled guy.
No forwards in this draft class below 4OA compliment our pipeline near as much as Lindstrom does. I just simply don't agree and i have optimism that Lindstrom will be cbj's future 2C behind Fantilli.
What's so bad about having two KJs... Are we not discussing adding Marner for 13M? What would be so bad about adding someone similar on an ELC? Not that it matters anymore but still. Demidov is absolutely a core player that would more than likely create some absolute magic with KJDemidov we're just picking up a player we don't need. KJ becomes surplus and we have the same issue we have today. Move KJ and you're killing the chemistry between the young core cbj is growing.
