Casual Habs Talk

I thought it was a better move for Florida lol, Ottawa kinda had to trade him
I found it good enough considering Ottawa's situation. 4 team trade list really isn't much to work with. Makes me wonder two things though: Will Larkin's package be comparable? And, will Ottawa keep those picks?

I kinda doubt Ottawa keeps those picks, I think Staios mentioned they now have the capital to improve the team, technically their rebuild was over a little while ago, they're in "win now" mode...

but yeah it's true that with all things considered it's not a bad haul, they were just forced to trade in their own division lol

considering they had to trade him they did pretty well imo.
and perso he doesn'lt look like the sharpest knife so if I was a Sens fan I wouldn't be too sad.
my initial reaction was "the sens just lost an important roster player without replacing him", but they can always flip those assets for more immediate help...

and I agree, fans in Ottawa were probably waiting on this to happen, he'll fit in nicely in Florida but he definitely isn't captain material

it sucks that the habs haven't made a move yet, but looking at the deals made so far and what's available it might not be surprising...
