Over the last few games, yes. But the bottom 6 have been contributing during the winning streak. McLeod, Foegele, even Ryan. Holloway has shown potential. They will probably add some depth players at the deadline.
Or maybe we just juggle lines a bit and McD out with a few of them.

Kane, Perry, Holloway, McLeod all got a jolt when McD was on their line for a bit tonight. Wouldn't mind seeing some more of Drai-Hyman either.

He is going to Klima something and get an OT winner in the playoffs book it! :D
How can he do that from the minors though ?

Teehee !!!!

So honest question. What the heck are the lines next game? Felt all over the place tonight…

Great win but now I’m scratching my head a little

Just watched the Klim Kostin pregame interview and that man definitely comes off like he regrets leaving and wants back in the worst way.

Thanks for heads up. Definitely sounds like he misses it here and not quite liking his time in Detroit:

He is getting even less minutes in Detroit than he was here and is producing significantly less. To be fair, he had an unsustainable shooting percentage last year and was due for regression. He would be a good player to have around at less than a million but isn't worth the $2.5 million of cap space Detroit used on him (with the Yamamoto buyout).

It would be fun to pull up some posts from the off-season when we traded Kostin away. Some posters were posting ad nauseam about how letting him go was a disaster and we should've dumped Foegele/McLeod to make room for him. Thank god we didn't.

C0nn0r Br0wn just can’t get anything to go, everything in the world could be going right and the moment he touches the puck nothing works.

I’m almost feeling bad for him.

I’m not. We’re in the cup winning business and playing no hit no goal hockey and just contributing on the PK is not how we accomplish that. He can be sat out anytime now and probably will be once we bolster the bottom 6 in the coming 3 weeks.

McDavid moved into the top 100 all time in assists last night passing Glenn Anderson along the way. He is one behind some guy named Datsyuk who I was told was a pretty decent player in his time. He has 337 games to get that assist to match Datsyuk's assists per game pace. Even if he ends up playing with Connor Brown, my guess is that he gets it done.

When a lot of posters here say something often the opposite is true. The bear trade is another example they though we traded bobby orr lol

Wings really are a disaster defensively and starts at forward. Too many fancy dancers they hauled in in offseason. Really terrible 200ft game.

That said with 12 goals and at least 8 posts in this game neither team was lighting it up defending.

McDavid doing McDavid things in this one. You can't give him this kind of room.
The Wings out played the Oilers

I believe he went hill sprinting last night with his dog. His fiance posted it on Instagram
I cringed when I saw where he was running lol. That's me I'm wiping out and sliding down the road/sidewalk

At least Detroit is in the hunt this year. Imagine being played the way he is on a lotto team?

I'm not convinced that if he were here that he'd actually be in much better of a position though. He wasn't exactly getting the time with us and it's as if those glimpses we saw were just that and that he probably isn't an everyday NHLer on a good team.

It wasn't perfect, but you have to believe the guys feel good after that one. When that dam finally broke.
Can tell that Knobs wasn't exactly happy with the win, but they take it.

I mean outside of seeing guys like Ceci and Holloway pot goals this team did do something a lot of fans and media wanted to see. Get that first period lead.

There has to be that confidence too going into 2nd intermission that you are winning the even strength game and that hopefully you get your chance on PP in third. Just weird when I see in any game a team not get a single PP, but whatever.
