TBH, after going down 0-2, I was thinking here we go again….

Somehow, I picked the 2 games the Canes would be awful?

What a freaking game by Jordan!
Same here. I was having dinner when they went down 0-2 and got instant indigestion with nausea. Not enough Pepto to cure that. 2 losses in a row on consecutive nights to 2 not-so-liked Metro rivals wasnt sitting well. Glad we fought back like that. Makes last night a distant memory. Great heart and guts shown tonight!

To those in attendance, any info about the fight in the stands? They made mention of it during the Pens broadcast.
Didn't see who instigated it but happened pretty much right as the Tro fight wrapped up. A lot more drunks in the stands than usual tonight among both fanbases. Pretty much a playoff atmosphere, both the positive and negative side of it.

Never had issues with Pens fans, sorry I cant pile on them. Biggest issues were Buffalo fans by far.
Buffalo fans are by far the worst for sure especially when they were good. But Boston, Philly, Rags and Pittsburgh fans can be pretty bad too.

But the incidents I witnessed basically involved our drunk idiots vs. their drunk idiots. People just need to regulate their alcohol intake.

Not that is matters, but I put Pittsburgh with the Midwest likes of Chicago and Detroit. Can overtake opposing buildings and be whiny and obnoxious at worst, but not hostile. The Northeast fans are unbearable.

My boss is a Penguins fan who loved to give me crap when we were bad. I've have fun messing with him the last few years with their early outs in the playoffs and have been leaving drawings for him on his whiteboard.

Dont know everything but I saw a Canes fan escorted out. There was a huge section dominated by pens fans.

The police stayed monitoring the section for the rest of the game after the Trocheck fight.

Im not a STH obviously but ive never seen the police just stand around monitoring an entire section for 30 minutes.

As we become a more established franchise through longevity and a better team on the ice, this is the stuff we're going to have to continue to deal with. We're not a traditional market, being in an area of a very high amount of transplants (and increasingly so), including many on this board. We're not that team from a few years back, however, when the Pens came into our building and shallacked us 7-0, and Pens fans had unchecked control of our arena. That was awful. We're not going to keep opposing fans out, but many like myself have issues with elitist attitudes (mixed with alcohol) rear their ugly heads in our building. Fights will happen.

But expected...:( (this is not meant as an endorsement of asking I made my POV clear in the prior thread that mustn't be :P )

He's trying to justify it in the replies but it's not going well for him. He's being rightfully skewered for putting Svech in that kind of spot.

How we feeling this AM??

Had multiple martinis last night, so a bit hungover, to be honest.

Enjoy! For me its mostly relief. I take into consideration the opponents we're playing. A loss to Anaheim isnt as bad to me as a loss to Washington or Pittsburgh IMO. A loss is a loss?? Sure, but we need good showings against the better teams in our division and Im glad we didnt completely shit the bed two nights in a row vs key Metro foes.

Just watched in on replay. What a great ending. Always have hated Letang. Great to see him lose his mind and cost the Pens the game. Can't wait to read their thread.
