I'm not sure about that.

If I remember correctly, the team's record when allowing 2 or less goals is not that much different than its record when allowing 3 or more.

On the other hand, its record when scoring 2 or less goals is MUCH worse than when they score 3 or more.

Of course, I looked that up before we went on that crazy March run, so it might be different now.

Meh..won't bother me at all. Canes have been out of it for a while, regardless of this recent hot streak. Even if some held out hope, by calling up AHL guys to get a look means the coach/GM know it too, win or lose this game.

They would have had to run the table with 7 games left and still wouldn't have been guaranteed a playoff spot.
