Ah rats, Sunday was the 1st, wasn't it? I missed that game golfing. Thanks!

AND - is Westgarth REALLY going to be back in the lineup? Can we vote to extend his suspension?

Yeah but I don't put too much stock into matchups like that. Too much turnover and too many other factors. I don't buy the showcase reason either. Why not start him against Nashville on Thursday with the back to back? Just seems like a strange decision. Then again, I think I've questioned a lot of the decisions Muller has made.

I think starting Peters is a pretty solid move by Muller. Peters has confidence against the Caps.

1.915 GAA and 93% SP in 6 games, including 2 shutouts.

I buy myself a ticket and see what happens- Peters starts. Hopefully the D manages to keep themselves together for this one. After watching the Devils collapse in person while home over Thanksgiving, I'm not entirely optimistic. If the D is off its game again, we're gonna have problems.

You'd think we'd dress 7 defensemen to have the 5 man slot collapse Peters package go into full effect.

Is this even going to be worth watching? I am becoming demoralized here. Loss after loss. It is one thing if we are playing a hard working game and losing. But the fact of the matter is...Our team totally sucks in almost every aspect of the game.

Caps & Canes are very similar: 47%/46% FF% close, 92.6%/92.8% 5v5 Sv%. But Caps are 5 pts up in standings thanks to 7.9%/5.9% 5v5 Sh%

Huge difference in special teams probably doesn't hurt.

Even if Peters has confidence, I still think this game is important enough where you go with Cam. I have to think this almost certainly means the goalie surplus will be solved by Thursday.

For some bizarre reason, Peters is Hasek against the Capitals, so we might actually have a chance tonight.
