Most definitely. I'm a Panthers fan as my #2 as well, so I love the guy too. I was actually willing to have him start at least to begin the season as sitting a young QB has its benefits and Cam looked a bit better as I said. But the vaccination thing did turn me off so I'm kinda glad it worked out this way.

Well, I sat out a season on the Panthers due to my disgust at the Bridgewater/Cam thing, but the Darnold era is looking good so far. It is the Jets, but...

At this point, no. No he's not. His shoulder is shot. It sucks but Cam needed to retire before last season.

I have to say, Darnold started out so slow playing like he was still a Jet but he was pretty good in that 2nd quarter. Granted it's the Jets but I like him more than Bridgewater for sure.

I am just seeing the score and reading the Panthers message board, it seems like the Panthers are doing well and the defense is feasting. Can't wait to see the game.

Agreed. Even if they were right that he'd be a shell of himself, releasing Cam without any real replacement plan was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen a Carolina team do, comparable to letting Steve Smith go when he still had good seasons left in him. That's the sort of thing you only see in the NFL.

Coaching staff is going to run CMC into the ground in an effort to appear mediocre at best. He's literally their whole offense.

If today is any indication, CMC is going to be doing a lot of the work again, poor guy is going to be run into the ground.
The defense as a whole is solid for the most part. Shaq Thompson had probably his best game ever in a Panthers uniform.

As someone who was never much into football, I thought the defense was mostly spectacular today, though Wilson put together a decent second half. Darnold was decent and it's obvious that McCaffrey is basically the target maybe 2/3 of the time lol

Considering how little work Sam got during preseason games I am not surprised CMC is his Linus blanket. I did expect more targets to RA. Play calling in the RZ is still not great, but I am willing to have patience with them for now. I do like the Darnold scramble though. Brought out an audible, "You think you Cam huh" in jest.
One thing I need to do is fly home to see a game. Brian Burns' speed jumps off the screen so I can't imagine it live. Large human beings should not be able to move like that. D line was eating that first half. If that's what Sam had to deal with all year, no wonder he's broken.

Yep. With the Steelers they basically go to the Super Bowl or turn the fanbase into the coach from Letterkenny, there is no inbetween. When we lose any other time in the playoffs we don't just lose, it's f***ing embarrassing (or hilarious depending on your perspective).
