This GDT is not mine. This GDT belongs TO EVERY GDT MAKER OF THIS REGULAR SEASON. IT IS OURS.

(SOVIET ANTHEM INTENSIFIES)

So, shoutout to @Svechhammer and the series-themed GDTs. I DIDN'T GET MOST OF THE REFERENCES, BUT I STILL HAD FUN.

Shoutout to @LostInaLostWorld for biting the bullet when a third of the roster was out. TOOK ONE FOR THE TEAM.

Shoutout to @AhosDatsyukian for some EPIC SPEECHES and the PP pun. I KNEW THERE WAS POTENTIAL EVER SINCE YOU INTRODUCED YOURSELF IN THE "GET TO KNOW" THREAD.

Shoutout to @CandyCanes for the garbage and cleaning ones. TIME TO FINISH THE SWEEP.

Shoutout to @Ginger Papa for the truest form of high-effort GDTs. Absolutely epic. Your mercenary services are NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN. DEADPOOL IS THE NUMBER TWO CANADIAN MERC NOW.

Shoutout to my buddy @Surrounded By Ahos AND HIS MONGOL HORDE.

Shoutout to @Boom Boom Apathy going full CLINT EASTWOOD "GET OFF MY LAWN".

Shoutout to the worst GM Canes never had and HIS ANTI-JINX CRUSADE. IT'S THE @TheRillestPaulFenton

Shoutout to @GoCanes2015 FOR CONFUSING US IF THEY ARE @Gocanes0506 OR NOT and taking on Detroit AND COLUMBUS.

Shoutout to @geehaad FOR FIGHTING SUPERSTITIONS AS WELL.

Shoutout to @Anton Dubinchuk FOR INFORMING US WHO WE ARE PLAYING.

Shoutout to @CanesFanBudMan FOR INFORMING US WHERE WE ARE NOT PLAYING.

Shoutout to @MinJaBen FOR SHOWING US THAT THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM.

Shoutout to @Tryamw FOR ASKING THE HARD QUESTIONS.

Shoutout to me for taking a bunch of GDTs against Detroit and being smart enough not to watch those games in April, because damn me if I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN.

...

I am saving the proper Vengeance energy for the GDT when play-offs actually hit, which will be ON FULL DISPLAY IN THE SHED OF VENGEANCE BEFOREHAND.

Is it weird to be totally ok with losing these games? I'd much rather play Nashville in the first round than Dallas. Would probably come at the cost of the presidents trophy but I mean, playoffs. I mean either way we'll be playing a team that we've beaten a bunch in the regular season but those Dallas games were much more tightly contested.

The storm builds. Recent bobble was simply an ERC on the way to CAT5. There will be distruction in its path.

I am not in support of any proposal that doesn't have us actively trying to win games.

We might not be playing them though. If Dallas wins out and the predators lose out, Nashville stays home. Again I am not saying its a good idea to lose. I'm just saying it wouldn't be a horrible thing

2 OT wins would do the trick.

No need to lose. Win both games in OT and Preds lock up the 4th spot (they have the tiebreaker). Vegas would then need to win out in order to catch us for the PT (they've got the Blues x 2, Avs, and SJ left to play.) And strange as it sounds, since they play each other 1 more time, Colorado controls their own destiny with regard to winning the West Division just like Vegas does, so that game could be an all out war.

I, too, am in a glass house of emotion over how the final games should go down lol.

I guess it's a potential win / win or lose/lose depending on how you view your drinking glasses.
