Been a fan since 2011, and this place was the bright spot until 2019. Remember the happiness here when we drafted Hanifin, that was the high point for so many years.

And now we’re champs. Glad to have you guys and share this with you, the best bunch of jerks on hfb!
I love the lightheartedness of Carolina fans and the carolina forum in general. Looking at the roster contracts, picks and available capspace, this place should be a happy place for the forseeable future, we got a pretty bright future, if we manage things well 😉. Also, the experience from winning really will help glue these guys together and handle the ups and downs of future playoff series.

Now I have to pour my heart out here without thinking. Thank you all. Everyone who writes. Been a fan since 2004 or so. Been an everyday reader of this board over 10 years at least. I don't write much as I always say but you are somehow like family from BBA to Lempo or MrazekVengeance to BluelineBomber (sorry for possible misspells). Thank all of you for writing actively and sharing your joy and opinions.

I woke up to watch this one here in Finland. 3rd period was the most stressful ever until Ehlers scored. I been crying a bit since then. Unbelievable feeling after so many years watching almost every game - first I had to watch some strange streaming channels and I stayed up all night and watched Pitkänen, Skinner, Dwyer, Sutter, Jokinen, Whitney and all those guys through the playoffless years and enjoyed it too. But last 8 years been a different thing and it's felt so good. And now they are and we are rewarded.

And I wanna bow to the players from the past years success that have been also important part of this journey to me like Pesce, Teräväinen, Skjei, Hamilton, Necas, Raanta and others. Of course this is a win for this year's team but for me I think the past tries (that were successful but not to the end of course) matter now too - how coaches and certain players have developed and gotten here.

Also thank you Rod and other coaches. Thank you Mike & Tripp and others. And how I miss John still.

And the team:

Andersen: You've truly been great goalie for us - the top goalie in the league. Sick performance to get us past rounds 1-3.

Bussi: I don't still get it but that was one hell of a year. That calmness when you started and now in these last games. That was heroics.

Kooch: Thank you for the previous seasons of this journey and I hope you'll become a great goalie in this league.

Slavin: The cornerstone of our D. I still remember when you and Pesce started and it seemed so strange how you were so good even back then out of nowhere. One of my favourite canes ever.

Chatty: I thought you were slowing down when the season started. But you were only getting started. Didn't guess you were 1RD we needed. Your solid everyday play like Walker's is hugely appreciated.

Miller: I was so wrong about you. I'm glad. Epic playoffs from you.

Walker: You carried us in the middle of this regular season and that was huge. Nod to your game especially in Ottawa series.

Ghost: One my favourite D's after Pitkänen and Hamilton. It is a joy to watch your offensive game. And this year you upped your d-game a notch and that was huge.

Niki: Great first season. Couldn't ask for more - after concussion you did well to keep your game simple and effective even though I guess it might have been tough.

Reilly: A positive surprise - you did all we asked for when needed after a long breaks.

Nyström and CAL: You kept us alive at the start of the season. Your solid play out of nowhere will be remembered. I hope you'll become a big part of this team's next wave.

Aho: Our solid, most human 1C and one my favourites even before you were drafted to Canes. How happy I was when I saw you being part of my fav team too. Great, great regular season. Great overall game in playoffs and you pushed through with Svech just at the right time in the end.

Svech: Huge bounceback season. When things didn't go your way sometimes, you always tried again - like KK or Stanky. That is all I can ask for.

Jarvis: My family's favourite cane. And a pure joy to us all. I guess you were banged up especially after the collision. You still did very well - the core of our teams soul.

Stankoven: Thank you for being here. Glad it turned out this way. And what a way to show it to the rest of league that you were the diamond. I was very doubtful of your 2C skills and I was wrong again. You got there just in time.

Blake: When I first saw you play I thought that this guy will never be a NHL player. Well the same story continues for me. I gotta be negative more I guess if this is the result. One of the best clicking lines I've ever seen. Relentless stuff from you all.

Hall: You became my favourites ever totally out of the blue. Last year and at the start of this year I was happy that you were the skilled 4th liner for us. Congratulations. That's all I'm gonna say. Thank you for the winning goal.

Staal: I was 20 years old when you came and I was skeptic as we lost Dumo and Sutter. Well that skepticism has gone away a long time ago. You totally were the difference maker especially in the finals. That is character. You were the star. My favourite canes moments seeing you raising the cup and Conn Smythe.

Martinook: Heart and soul of the team. Always the same solid performance. Huge Caniac.

Ehlers: The best acquisition ever. Pure joy to watch you play - but you showed up also in the d-zone and playoffs. That's just what we needed.

Jankowski: I was hard on you but solid perfomance in the playoffs, especially PK - never let us down.

Carrier: I was hard on you too but same to you as Jankowski. No mistakes and a couple of important passes.

Robinson: Great player for us - your speed is exactly what Canes need in PK and out of 4th line.

KK: One of my favourites from the past seasons - thank you for being a good team mate it seems and great 13F option in playoffs. I believe you wouldn't have been out of place in 4th line but I understand keeping the lineup the same when winning. Great start of the season and after the leg injury, the skating seemed hard but good for you still fighting through it.

Deslauriers: Solid performance when needed. Thank you too. And Nadeau.

Now it's all out the system. What a year. What a day. Sorry if I wrote something silly. But I'm on a cloud nine right now. And just wanted thank you all.

EDIT: Just realized that the only finnish name "Lempo" - I wrote Lampi. I blame winning the Stanley Cup.

Congrats to the Hurricanes! Well deserved.

The Canes are such an easy team to root for, especially Martinook who's quite likeable and such a character, plus Ehlers who I've been a fan of going back to his draft year. Also very happy to see a former Canuck in Chatfield go on to develop into a reliable top-4 guy with the Canes.

LOVED bringing back the Storm Surge as a way to celebrate the win.

Congrats Canes from a Habs fan. I knew after the beating you gave us that you were the team yo beat.

I love the tempo and style that Your team plays with. Absolutely relentless. I think it could be awhile for the league to figure it out. Such a well structured team. We overachieved to reach the conference finals and I was proud of our group, but it was a Canes clinic. Very impressive.
