No, but you had nothing to ***** about for about 6 games, so you can cut out the "I told you so" stuff just because they lost a game. It's gonna happen.

I don't know what your expectations for this team are but "winning every game or else" seems to be what you're working from.

Lots of folks like that.

Then they come out of the weeds to feast, on a loss, or poor play.

Look the Kings are going to struggle without Quick in net, The are going to struggle with Kopitar not scoring, drew playing bad ETC. That's a given.

But would people rather the Kings just lay down and die ? They played well so far with all the injuries/ Third string goalie.

People have to at least admit that.

Kings played a good game, ran into a good team with a hot goalie.

Love the 70/77/71 line! Also 24/53 looked really good when they weren't carrying anchors around and were paired together.

GJ Sutter! Nice creativity.

Gravel and Forbort did look good paired together. Surprised Sutter tried it.

I think they should be sellers.

Well, you'd be wrong. I played hockey for about 25 years.

sorry don't believe you

i've played many team sports, and most of the time when there was a ****** player that had a direct negative impact on the score sheet, more than a few of us played differently

we were more worried about goals coming in than scoring goals

and also, a few of us weren't as motivated to give 110%

unless you had some crazy intense luck where your hockey team was made of 21 supermen that were completely immune to anything psychological for a solid 25 years mind you... (which i guess it could happen....), then no i'm afraid i have to call you out on this one

It's not constant negativity if you call it as you see it. Only few positives this season have been the young guys establishing themselves, and to a lesser degree, Budaj and Brown. Martinez has been the best dman on the team, everyone else has been hot and cold or just bad.

There's been no constant. That's why this team is so inconsistent and streaky. There isn't one specific area of their game that's been consistently steady.

No way. Martinez was good offensively early in the year and not so good on the D side. Tonight he was terrible.

I think they should be sellers.

Sell what exactly ?

Cause if you're talking someone like King etc.

Well, just what exactly is a 3-4 rd pick going to make or break the Kings next year ?

If you're talking Sell Kopitar/Carter/A-Mart etc, and rebuild, then you have some meat of a debate.

i'm Mr Negative on these boards, but i have no idea what you guys are rambling about

this team is playing good hockey overall

we just need 1 goal on 11 shots Quick to come back

which is a huge upgrade over 2 goals on 5 shots Budaj/Zatkoff

I grew increasingly frustrated as the game wore on. I understand having some rust after 3 days rest, but did they not scout Carolina when they played the Ducks and Sharks over the past few days on their days off? Hurricanes had a game plan and stuck it to us.

Need to see a lot more from our players in the top 6. Kopitar, Toffoli, Pearson, Carter, Gaborik need to be better. One player got a huge raise last year and two other players are playing for their next contract and it's just not good enough.

Its weird that Drew has points in 8 points in his last 8 games because he just hasn't been himself out there. Surprisingly our depth has kept us afloat for the majority of the year and our top players are under performing.

I guess the way I feel at this point is that we have all the right personnel to be an annoyance in the playoffs if not a contender, but they all need to be not injured and/or playing at least remotely close to expectations.

Muzzin and Doughty were pretty dreadful as well. Funny how of all the dmen, one of the few who hasn't been at fault for many goals against has been Greene. Such a bizzare season.

Funny you mention that, this pissed me off especially in relation to his play:

During the game I actually thought Greene looked very poised with the puck for the most part. Bizarro world

Of all the forwards, how many have met or exceeded expectations after more than a quarter of the season?

Same goes for dmen. I can count on one hand with missing fingers how many have exceeded expectations, and Budaj is one of those.

Demacles we disagree about a lot of things but i totally agree with you in this . Its amazing how many chicken little posters come out after losses It makes the pgt almost unreadable with all the negative replies. There are definitely posters that come in here only to complain. Sad that it happens
