No doubt Columbus had some good chances. As BBA said, puck management issues didn't help that. But stats be damned, I think we played fairly well. Now, I know we probably have a lot better coming at some point when things really start to mesh, but given the roster turnover, weird schedule, and just general weirdness of early in seasons, I'm quite happy with our play. And yeah, if we occasionally get outplayed by bad try hard teams on the road but win because of our talent level, I'll take that.

As others have said, the only bad spot for me last night was the glaring turnovers. Cole had at least 2 of them that led to prime chances and TDA had 1. That kinda stuff won’t fly against TOR or BOS.

I wonder if Smith gets in a game on this upcoming home stand and am hopeful Jarvis will get in a game too.

Remember when the state fair road trip was supposedly the reason we couldn’t make the playoffs?

Turns out those teams just sucked. This group takes care of business.

The best aspect about our team right now is that we're destroying (or beating by a non-insignificant margin) the teams that we should beat. Unless you're an intentionally-designed tank squad like Arizona, bad or mediocre NHL teams have the talent to beat most teams on a nightly basis, simply due to the fact that they're NHL teams, so the fact that we're beating them so consistently is a good indicator that this is a big-boy contender's club now.
