If we had the cap space I would trade Pulujarvi for Debrusk. But we don't.
Debrusk doesn’t offer much when he is not scoring he is not the type of winger we need. Pulju at least hits and gets into the dirty areas. Debrusk is 4 mil per year where are we getting the cap money for that rather add 2 more mil and keep Kane for 3 yrs and Pulju will be around 2 mil big body.

Yikes. I don’t even know where to start with this tire fire of a post. Maybe I’ll start with the obvious indisputable fact that DeBrusk doesn’t have a qualifying offer because he has a two year deal.
Yes I did forget that but at 4 mil I would rather trade Barrie resign Kane and resign Pulj for 2 mil. That way we have two big heavy players. Debrusk had a good season of 25 goals but would still rather have the big body Pulj.

Would a package including Barrie, Kassian + work?

Barrie has played better since the coaching change, but we've got Bouchard ready to take the mantle and we need a more defensive presence on the right side.

Kassian is the prototypical Bruin. Mean, nasty, aggressive. He's got speed. He needs a change of scenery though.

Salaries are pretty much a wash here.

I had to check to make sure this proposal was the original proposal.
No, that won't work at all.
Kassian and Barrie have looked great in the playoffs, but they didn't look nearly as good in the regular season.
If we didn't put so much focus on playing so high on the PP, I imagine Barrie would have a lot more value right now, but he literally doesn't get a chance to prove his worth.

On the PP it's just his job to move the puck around. If he's shooting it's because we can't get a clear shot for Drai. Bouchard looks so much better on the 2nd PP because they aren't constantly playing the exact same set play.

Pulujarvi hasn't played well since Christmas. Unless we find out about an injury he was playing through, I don't expect him back. I'm not getting into the numbers debate because I stated before that if cap wasn't an issue I would do that trade. Cap is an issue and we don't have the space, so obviously we can't do that trade.

DeBrusk was great on the PK this year. Love when fans that don't know what they're talking about spout random nonsense in these debates lol.

I'm not the biggest of Carlo fans, but even in this deal it feels like the Bruins are downgrading on both pieces.

I'd rather have Puljujarvi vs DeBrusk. I feel the opposite about Barrie vs Carlo.

I see zero reason why Boston says yes and I'm not convinced we should either but if it happened I wouldn't be upset about it, Bruins fans would be so I'd say it's tilted in our favour in a vacuum.

Edit. I didn't realize DeBrusk potted 25 after getting bumped up the depth chart. I keep thinking Puljujarvi will breakout, but yeah I'd pull the trigger on this honestly.

Yeah DeBrusk was very very good after being bumped up.

So two good players for two bad players. Seems reasonable. You’re not even in the ballpark
