Wouldn't they still be over the cap for next season? Seems super risky for a guy coming off surgery, rehab and who hasn't played all year. I know it's Price but damn. I said I wanted a ballsy move so I guess this could be it. I dunno though

it would have to be like some variant of
Krav + Strome + Geo + Hajek
for
Price at half

who is immediately flipped at another 1.5 retained to Oil

but the return coming back has to be signnif incl Broberg for starters and Oil so far unwilling to go there

No issues this season . Koskinen at 4.5 out Price in at 5.25 is 750 K we have about 900 K . Not sure I like it . Like to include Kassian or Barrie to have a few years o figure things out .

and Montreal wouldnt eat half if theyre just getting a probable late 1st rounder and 3rd

Carey Price is 34 and coming off a major injury. He might not even be a top 5 goalie anymore. You realize that 50% retained, his cap hit would be 5.25m for 5 more years, right?
