I got back into the hobby a few years ago. I think I was badly spoiled, one of my first hobby boxes I got net me a Kaprizov yg, K'Andre Miller canvas yg, Mason Marchment clear cut yg, and a bunch other good cards. I usually get 1-2 hobby boxes per release. Been chasing a Caufield yg with no luck. I mostly want Habs stuff but put a pause on it as I spent a bunch of money getting Kotkaniemi and Romanov cards only for them both to get traded.

I’ve sold or traded away all my cards except this Wayne G rookie card, I do need to get it evaluated/scored.

That's over 2-5 grand for sure. Well, a guess from that picture. It looks to be in decent shape for a 40+ year old card. Could be 5 figures if it scores above an 8.

Thats O-Pee-Chee.

The centering looks good..

That card would be a 7 my guess by PSA, so it's worth around 4,500, but dropping.

Gretzky rookies 7 by OPC at one point would sell for 10k.

I just traded my Gretzky Topps Beckett 7 for an Ovechkin signed, customed framed jersey and 1k cash.

Sells for 1,600- 2k. Went in the middle at 850. The jersey cost the dude 500 and 350 to frame, so I was a bit nice and just that be the evaluation of it and given that shadow boxes alone now cost 200 bucks I don't think it's far off.

Those attached are my newest buys.

I have a rookie auto acetate redemption card of Noah Dobson that's been waiting for 2 years. He is still "committed to sign" but UD offered me to choose someone else and they would give me an equivalent value card.

I am a huge Dobson fan but starting to think I should ask for a Habs card. Either a current player or one of my faves like Koivu, Kovalev, Price, etc...

Not card related, but some of my man cave.

I added in 2 cards. Both signed by Shutt and Worsley authenticated by AJ.

I was once a big collector with almost every hockey card from 1951 to mid '90s and quite a few from 1910 to 1950. In fact I had about 350 000 cards in all. Sold it to pay for the other half of the house after the divorce.

Still got about 100 000 cards from the 90s, stars pulled, and a few random gems found from forgotten corners after the sale. I seem to remember a Lafleur RC and a Jackie Robinson poor to fair card, but I would have to check.

When Ottawa came back in the NHL they had an old player from the '30s drop the puck in the inaugural game face-off. My daughter asked me if I had his card and I replied "of course not" and then "wait a minute". I went to my collection and found his card with Ottawa the year they won their last SC.

I have Ernest " Moose " Johnston and Fred Lake. Also one other guy whose name I forget. From the C56 1910 series, pretty cool even if not that valuable.

Still some decent cards in the 90's if you get them graded. Jagr UD and opc premiere are good cards if in mint condition. Lindros future superstar score is a nice card. There are some good ones from the early 90's.

Actually 90-91 upperdeck is my favourite series of all time. It's when cards took a new turn, but yeah, they flooded the market with them. Too bad, that set has a ton of top rookies Jagr, Nedved, Owen Nolan, Fedorov, Ricci, Richter, Joseph, Schneider, Sundin, modano, roenick, belfour and on and on. It's really a great set, too bad they overproduced it.

Haha I have the 90-91 upperdeck (whole set) in French

The last cards I bought were the 93 upper decks, I stopped after that, I still have my collection that goes from 87 to 93. ( I think my 93 set is also complete.

I'm not a huge hockey collector, I like playable TCGs but I own a card store a little out of Montreal :) I cracked packs for fun a couple weeks ago and got a Zegras, serialized /100 auto signature redeemable (worth between 2 to 3k). I'm looking to unload if it's of interest to anyone haha!

I used to collect cards back in the early elementary years. We would all bring the cards to school and trade or compete for them.

This is early to mid 90s when it seemed like everyone had that pro set jagr rookie card. Score and pro set were the cards I had most of. Upper deck felt premium, and I had a few of those.

I don't know where my cards went, but I wish I still had them.

I also remember a friend of mine telling me that he used a Patrick Roy rookie card on his bicycle spokes to make that flappy noise. Woops.

I collected cards back in the mid-90s. I've got most of the rookie cards from the early-90s, like Jagr, Forsberg, Hasek, Lindros, etc... There's a also a Joe Sakic rookie card in there. I also l have lots of autographs from hanging outside the Forum during that time. They're still sitting in boxes in my parents' house and I should probably get rid of them next time I'm in Montreal.

Anyone got a suggestion on the best way to sell them?

I have that Lindros card in tip top condition. I'm not sure it's worth much looking online. I think I may have some OPC Premiere laying around but not many. I hit 17-18 at that point so card collecting took a back seat as we started drinking and chasing skirt. LOL

Check ebay to get an idea of the prices. If you see anything worth selling, and it's a decent chunk of change (4 figures+) then look into getting the card graded if it's in really good condition.

A good grade on a card worth 4 figures can pump that up to 5 figures in some cases.

I buy/sell cards on ebay but mostly looking for bargains. You can try a local card shop too.

Just ripped a couple 21-22 series one boxes chasing a caufield young guns. I got 2 Trevor Zegras, a Zegras black Canvas and a Zegras super star honour roll. I got two zegras/caufield checklists, but no caufield.

Love ripping packs even though you seldom get your money back. I think I made out ok here. I’ve got more value than I’ve paid.

Only if that card sells for like 8k upgraded.

Cards worth 4 figures is rare, 5 figures is even rarer.

You'd need a star player with a Beckett grading, black label 10
