I don’t know if they’re good enough. I’ve always thought that the key would be, the willingness of the better players to play dirty, go to the net, lay off the fancy stuff more often than not … and at the moment during this not-so-good stretch, that remains the case.

That and the relative dearth of offense coming from the back end. Always thought that was the primary weakness and now that D’Angelo has cooled off, I still think it.

But … they’re still pretty damn good. This stretch doesn’t change that, for me anyway.

Statistically, over last 40 years, only the 86 Canadians went this bad down the stretch (of course, 06 canes were also bad) .

Most SC winners got hot in last 15 games.

Going to be a short playoff.

In the off-season, Borg/RBA need to re-tool the roster and approach.

Of course those 60 goal guys are very rare.
