I would like to point out something, we've complained over the years of Boston, Rangers, Sabres fans etc. coming in here starting shit. Let's not become what we've disliked.

I mean we can laugh at the small penis jokes and whatever, but going to other teams boards acting a fool makes you like a tool, so be cool and follow the golden rule.

You mean the same GDT where an HFCanes poster told another HFCanes poster to STFU because he didn't like what he posted? Our GDTs, when we lose, aren't known for "laughing it off" and never have been. It's the case with most teams that I've seen.

I do acknowledge that it's somewhat situational though. We have no real history with TB posters, have been even with them all year on the ice, and we've had a good team for 3 years running now. Florida already has had problems with a Canes poster (or two) in the past, the team has only just become good, and they are probably frustrated at the lack of results against Carolina.

If a number of NYR's fans had come to our GDTs trolling in years past, where they owned us and we weren't very good, I guarantee you the board wouldn't have "laughed it off".

Responding to them here with whatever response is warranted is significantly different than whining to the Mods and reporting posts and trying to get main board threads shutdown. I’m fairly confident even if the Rags fans did that we wouldn’t stoop to that level.

There's a difference between going there and actively starting shit and just watching their house burn from a distance with a glass of bourbon in your hand.

Re: Florida board. It never goes well, even with good intentions, when posters go to another teams board, particularly when there has been past problems. And even more so when someone with little history on our own board stirs shit up. If the roles were reversed, we’d likely react the same. First it was that stormsvechaho poster, now it’s tatertot (maybe they are the same?).

Yeah, never post on other team's boards (at least that I can remember) and only occasionally post on the main board. Frankly, I do enjoy lurking and getting the other team's perspective on the game. I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked that we're a bunch of divers.

And I'm trying to remember a time when we lost a game where there wasn't significant blaming of the refs for the myriad of bad or no calls.

In the end, I find all of this in good fun.

Also....if you don't remember the Jamie McBain 14 game, 10 point call up and the hope that it engendered, then you're historically uninformed. And if your handle is tatertot, well then.....there's nothing else to be said. What's next hushpuppy?

And, if we are rightfully on the PP like we should have been that steady march to the box likely never occurs, at least not the ones that lead to their goal.
