He was good for like 20 games with the Rangers in the Sean Avery pest mode, broke his arm from what I remember, and then was never really the same.

The Rangers under Gorton had all kinds of loose cannon and low emotional intelligence/volatile personalities to deal with (which is one of the reasons I believe Dolan canned him). Brendan was indeed one of those guys.
