This team chokes seemingly every time it's in the national spotlight...it's no wonder we're constatnly underrated/overlooked

The little bit I saw of the game, maybe 10 minutes:
1) About the slowest this team has looked all year
2) Seriously, something has to be done about the idiotic penalties. I get that teams get called for stuff, but jesus does this group ever do some ridiculous shit to earn them. Stepan's penalty near the end of the 1st was just completely unacceptable. That's a case of, you don't get to be a fringe hanger-on and then also do lazy crap to hurt the team.

If we want the penalties to shape up, then the easiest place to start is not employing Cole or Trocheck anymore. Svech will still have his problems but there is no way we will be letting him go, so the other 2 penalty kings need to.
Seriously, they're addicted to it and it's beyond time it got cleaned up. Cole especially, he takes so many dumb retaliatory penalties that I'm surprised he hasn't been healthy scratched by now.

Honestly I dont know how Svech didnt get a call in the first. He kept doing retaliatory crosschecks on a guy when the puck was already 150 ft down the ice.
I wanted to smack svech.
I wish the NHL would suspend him for a while because 1. Eff Putin and his allegiance and 2. Who wants a Russian as goal leader now?
We were very undisciplined last night and We probably got away with far far more then we should have. (We earned Every call against us and at least 2-3 more. )
The announcers thinking Skjei Elbow would get a review from the league only if EVERY elbow gets one It wasn't good but to me didn't didn't even come close to supplemental discipline.
Still a STUPID penalty in a long line of stupid penalties last night.
The teams legs looked dead and we are still relatively early in the 40 games in 80 days.. BTW F! NHL scheduling..

what is up with our National Game curse.. It's the Best way to make this team play flatter then the flattest B flat ever..
It's a long season but I hate the ruts we get into.. Last night we were about as crisp on our passes as Cooked Spaghetti having sat in cold water for an extra week.
The announcers thinking Skjei Elbow would get a review from the league only if EVERY elbow gets one It wasn't good but to me didn't didn't even come close to supplemental discipline.

Sure, but they didn't look slow and listless last night like we did. My point being that we looked like we need rest, and we certainly won't have it before our next game.At least Pittsburgh is also traveling
