Nah, he's not the future. But might still be a backup capable goalie. Problem with keeping Ward is that anyone else brought in doesn't get a fair shake in the net. So if I were to be choosing who I jettison, I choose Ward just so the next guy gets a fair shot. No point in buying out Lack and spending money on a UFA or futures on a trade just to watch them get one start for every 10 starts of Ward.

You know, I get it. Cam is a steady presence, guys love him, hard worker, yadda yadda. He also sucks up all the goalkeeping energy for the franchise. We've played him like he's Marty Brodeur, when his stats have been more like Marty Biron.

Wonder how long a leash Peters gives Cam, if he comes out with a rocky beginning.

Lots of much Ado about nothing. The end result of the games are meaningless, and thus, whoever is in net is meaningless. I think Lack has played well lately, but I doubt he's in the long term plans. Simply because you don't get called out by the coach like Peters did and want to stay in the organization. Not even taking into account situations like this one where you've clearly earned another start.

Well ward was okey vs Philly, but with Lack I felt better last few games, so I don`t agree with Ward in net. I like him, but hell, we need to run goalie who is doing good, when Ward was good in december, we gave him enough games, now Lack needs some IMO
