Marchand got off on a line change with 10 seconds left in the period in game 7 of the Finals allowing the gwg, funniest burn I heard was he was saving himself for game 8

Wondering what's the norm for a rookie lap at an opponents rink? Will the B's support giving him his lap, or is it just the Caps who hold off going out on the ice while he get his half to skate alone? Being a Boston local I imagine if he does a rookie lap, he'll hear it from the crowd.

It's just something a team does for their rookies. What's happening at the other end doesn't matter.
