That’s why as much as Panarin hasn’t been the same player and has been fairly criticized for his playoff performances, it’s not so easy to just get rid of him when the rangers never generate anything 5v5 offensively when he’s not on the ice. At least up front. They still don't generate enough, so it's try to win 2-1, or probably just lose.
Miller has been a good add but he's nothing to write home about 5 on 5. He never has been. We're just filled with these players.
There needs to be a concerted effort by this front office to add 5v5 offense.
You need to be able to do it because the goals won't be there every night for even the best offenses. So it's good that some structure has come back into the fold.Game 7 of last year's Cup Final was a 2-1 game
Trocheck was also a key cog his first couple of years (34 and 39 ES assists) and him turning into basically a second Lafreniere has been really alarming. That’s why as much as Panarin hasn’t been the same player and has been fairly criticized for his playoff performances, it’s not so easy to just get rid of him when the rangers never generate anything 5v5 offensively when he’s not on the ice. Appreciate Trocheck stepping up in the leadership department but all 3 guys on that line are trying to be the hero and, lo and behold, its not working out.
None of the trio is playing well. It's the weakest line of the four currently. At least Trocheck has the injury excuse.
I have no problem packing Othmann-Lafreniere and Perreault for Tkachuk . I mean if Othmann is that bad as some pegged him as in his 44 ? minutes of NHL play on here and Laf is a bust....as he could be and then Perreault of slight build and questionable speed and still an unproven NHL commodity on a team that eats it's young......if we landed Brady with that small an offering we win BIG . Heck I would even toss in the midget Berard . Rangers would be crazy not to do it . I think they would need to even the money up but other than that it is a fair trade once Brady wants out this Summer .Othmann and jones are trade chips. Scouts have definitely seen stuff they’ve liked these past few games. Curious to see how Drury handles things.
What Othmann is supoosed to be. It's early in his stint, I'm sure he will be pulling the trigger more soon.we really need some shooters
Hagel.....30 goals and none on the PP .They still don't generate enough, so it's try to win 2-1, or probably just lose.

He's signed until 2032, but the example is accurate.Hagel.....30 goals and none on the PP .
I mean, it's easier to score goals than it was like post-lockout up to like 2019, but Ovechkin also played then.Got to listen to Darren Pang on Max call Ovechkin a 'one trick pony' and said it's easier to score goals today than it used to be because of- God I can't even remember the reason. I would have shit on it if it was a poster here, let's put it that way.
Some of these more Parochalistic Canadians are having a real hard time with the idea of a Russian being the top goal scorer of all time.

It is a crazy stat for sure . Their PP must be good if he is not on either .He's signed until 2032, but the example is accurate.
I was wondering on the extra 5 minute OT goals.....does anyone know what the Gretzky /Ovie numbers are during them ?I mean, it's easier to score goals than it was like post-lockout up to like 2019, but Ovechkin also played then.
And it's not as easy to score as it was when Gretzky set the record.
I make fun of him because of course I do, but Ovechkin is pretty comfortably the best goal-scorer of all-time.
Apparently five months of a season isn't long enough eitherThat's not a point.
Playing well in and of itself isn't good enough to beat anybody. A lot of times it's a tossup.
Losing an overtime game doesn't create a sweeping conclusion on how good or bad anyone is.

Funny people say that when a year after he did 50 in 50 Gretzky shit all over him with 50 in 38 and 92 overall. How is Bossy better again?Greatest goal scorer IMO of all time has to be Bossy . Injuries killed his career way too early . Every older Ranger fan knows this and experienced it .
Apparently the last 5 months don't mean much right? You're seriously thinking that a single game loss in OT (also with roster gaps because of TDL considerations or short-term injuries) means that we can't beat good teams CONSISTENTLY? I mean the Rangers are where they are for a reason (you're what your record is, right) but your conclusion seems off base. We will see where they are after TDL but assuming they will get relatively healthy by playoff - the Rangers should be at least competitive.
You're moving the goal posts.Apparently five months of a season isn't long enough either
I had to find a link....but I already knew . Highest Goal Per Game With A Minimum Of 500 Games Played By A Player In Career | StatMuseHe’s also slow

From Gretzky's NHL debut to Bossy's retirement, Gretzky outscored him by 92 goals. He’s also slow
