I know the initial narrative about Wilson and Backstrom being on the road with the team was them getting closer to returning, but seeing these Locker Room clips on ESPN makes me wonder if they were travelling simply to be there when Ovie hit 800/801/802.

Congrats to Ovie! Doing via hat trick and no EN so haters can’t hate. I honestly believed he would break 99 in the in 25’-26’ season at the earliest. But the way it’s going he will do it in the 24’-25’ season. Just awsome

I’m thinking about Hunter Shepard. What a cool experience for that dude. He may never play in an NHL game but he was on the ice celebrating 800 with Ovi tonight.
