Sticking with my recent manifesto, voting Leonard, in part because of his floor. Still have no idea what he'll eventually be - a 25 goal 60 point guy, more, or Nic Dowd's eventual replacement - but he's more or less guaranteed to be an NHLer.

(Agree with @895 that Cristall's ceiling is higher.)

Yea as a pure impact to the game in all 3 zones has to be Leonard even if I think Cristall may potentially have the higher scoring peak
Agreed.

Also, and this becomes a bigger factor when comparing him to Hutson, Cristall hasn't done great in high-pressure situations. It's still a small sample size and that type of thing can change, but here he's getting compared with Leonard, who shines in those situations.

I voted for Leonard because I do think he is our best prospect, high ceiling, low floor and NHL ready. Regularly hailed as best player not in the NHL. I love Hudson and he’ll be my number two as i think his ceiling is high. but he still has some prooving to do.

I went with Joaquim Lemay because I've never even heard of him. Nor have any of you. Gotta root for the underdogs.
ha! We know who he is. Question is, will he get an NHL deal after this last year of college. I suspect he signs an AHL only contract.

Hutson. Everyone who voted for Leonard did so because they felt he's a slam dunk NHL player in the near future and that I understand. If you think he has the highest ceiling...well I'm sorry, that seems a bit delusional.

voted Leonard as he seems to be the most talked about lately but for the first time in a long time, actually excited about Caps prospects. Hutson starting to sound like a homerun pick based on his draft position and that almost never happens for the caps.

Between Leonard and Hutson, my vote could have gone either way. Went with Hutson this time for purely the upside, but the floor is also lower than Lenny.

Fun to have a bluechip prospect to vote, since its been long time since the last one. Just weird to have 2 of them.

I'm going to go Leonard -> Cristall -> Hutson, but I can honestly make an argument for any of those three to be #1 in my book.

Next group will likely be some mixture of Miro, Parascak, Iorio, and Lapierre. It should get super interesting after that (Protas? Allen? Chesley? Sikora? Mateiko?). I'll also be curious to see how our ranking compares to Wheeler's, where the Caps have jumped at least two spots (and counting?). Wheeler ranked the Rangers #19, and the Capitals were #20 in his rankings last February. Note that he is releasing one ranking per day.

well I'm sorry, that seems a bit delusional.

How to win friends and influence people.

It might be a simple difference of opinion, man.

RL is the right pick here based on the fact he is as close as you can get to a guaranteed NHL player. I see no reason to believe why he doesn’t have 80 point upside as well. He an unbelievable shooter.

AC is next. Highest upside in the pool but could totally not translate to pro level. I’m bullish though. If the stars align he’s a 100 point player. Caps are way past due for a true elite player steal past the first round. Last one was Holtby
