Sure, that's a fine mentality to take if you believe it's something they can turn on and off. But it's not. What happens if they take their foot off the gas and then struggle to get it back?
it is something they can turn on and off. not really that hard to turn off when games are entirely meaningless and turn on when its playoff games. seen it plenty of times.

this is about like watching my friends trying to score at a bar
goal there reminds of a time a friend went home with a lady in a blue dress, couple weeks later we was out at walmart, and he was like, she looks familiar, its like yeah, you went home with her the other night from the bar, she was with her grandkids.. so yah, he got laid, but it wasn't pretty

Watching the capitals broadcast and I love their announcing team. I wish all local broadcasts could show enthusiasm about the opponents’ plays the same way they can for their team…. Mike and Tripp are pretty guilty of not doing this
