Speculation of a guy doing well in a position he doesn't play at this level is just that....a gamble.
The other guys are young and developing. When their games can handle it, they will get increase roles and time.
I guess I don't buy that they're too young to handle an increased role. Mantha is 28. Ride him while he's hot. McMichael and Protas are almost 23, which generally marks the beginning of a player's prime. I don't buy that these players can't handle more than 14-16 minutes a night, which is what they have been getting of late. These aren't undersized physically undeveloped players. These are established NHLers at this point. Play them more.
