Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Dowd had core surgery this summer and he’s 33. He didn’t look right at all the first game. I suspect he’s not close to fully healed and needs rest + rehab. We just have to hope he doesn’t go the way of Laich and Green.

The schedule sucks. They’re starting to play better and have a chance to win three straight with tonight’s game and now won’t play again for four days.

the last 22 gms of RS there is only 1 instance of 2 days btwn gms

That's a tough grind for any team young or old
Well they he said he was out with an upper body injury so unless they have got creative that does not seem it was related to that core surgery but who knows. I would also agree he looked off generally compared to his normal self when he was playing.
Carbery also said they expected good news on Dowd shortly. This IR move was just to open up a roster spot for a 13th forward since we are carrying 2 extra dee right now. He can come back anytime on this retroactive move. I’’’d be more concerned if they put him on LTIR.
Reinforces the notion that they’ve been fairly unlucky when it comes scoring. Believe they’ve already hit 11 or 12 posts through seven games.

There were gaffes for sure but i guess with them on the ice the team is usually in possession and in the o-zone. The best defense is a good offense.. ..?

Looking forward to the game against NYI, as that will ge a good litmus test.

Think we started trending up when CC changed the top line and moved 19 to line 3 and tinkered with the D pairs. Also, players being held and holding themselves accountable. Everyone has looked better....but there was nowhere to go but up after the first 4 to 5 games.
Also, Lappy critics: What were you expecting during his first game on the fourth line? From what I saw, he looked decent.
Will not be happy if this is a McMichael benching.

Hard to imagine Carbery sitting McMichael, but it's also hard to imagine them sitting Backstrom even if he's not playing well. Unless it's just for maintenance or whatever. But even then I'd expect that to happen on a b2b rather than a lighter part of their schedule.
Either way I'm glad they're moving CMM to center, even if for just a single practice. They can't have Kuznetsov playing 25 minutes a night because the bottom 2 centers can't handle more than 10-12 minutes a night.

Devils were a big win, other than that... hard to be optimistic.
There aren't shootouts in the Playoffs and their only other regulation win was against the Sharks who have 0 wins. Even that was by the slimmest of margins.
It's still early. I'm not expecting much but i'm hoping they prove me wrong.
