That goal shouldn't even matter. This team should have blown this game open already. Too many blown opportunities as usual. Richards and Del Zotto starting on that 5 on 3 was beyond stupid.

Exactly. When you dont capitalize on your opportunities it always comes back to bite you in the ass. Got to be better.

Yes, let's not forget Stepan and Stralman both being outmuscled by Brouwer lol. It's always Hanks fault.

Really? Please try and defend that goal. A backhand from Troy Brouwer in the playoffs against our Vezina winning goalie. That goal was softer than Brad Richards going after Zdeno Chara.

For those blaming Hank on a second goal, I'm wondering if you have either played goal or even played hockey at all. Backhands are so unpredictable and hard to stop.

Games 1 and 2, sloppy and disappointing losses. One of which in OT.

Game 3, ugly and nasty but barely won.

Game 4, excellent and a lead taken and given away.

Looks awfully ****ing familiar....

Two things there, how was that icing? The puck goes through 4 players and its still called. Further to that, the puck came out of the zone yet wasn't called as offsides.

Other than the fact that we scored 3, this is eerily similar to 2011 :help:

Did you even see the shot? A backhand with a CLEAR view by Lundqvist. No screen, no deflection, just a simple backhand that Hank COMPLETELY misses. It's absolutely ridiculous. You NEVER see these kinds of softies in the regular season. Yes, they happen occasionally, but he has more softies in these 4 games than the entire regular season! It's beyond frustrating to watch.

The boys just gotta come out hitting everything. I think we're getting a PP, so we need to start there. After that, make the Caps scared to go for a loose puck like they were in the 1st period and the first half of the 2nd.

Shades of Game 4 in 2011. They better not **** this up.

LETS GO RANGERS.

They just have to literally forget about that stinker goal.
Turn it up another notch and get a goal early, think they will.

Start of the second period Torts made some really strange decisions.

He benched Zucc for some inexplicable reason. Zucc has been playing well.

Nash is a showman, and for that he keeps loosing the puck. Torts still keep him out just in case. In the playoffs, Nash has been just standing around until he gets the puck, then he goes for a spin and ofc looses the puck.

Asham is promoted, taking Zucc's place in the Brassard line.

Powerplay was ****ing stupid. Torts figured Caps would stay back and let us get into the zone, but they were pushing hard on the forecheck, creating chances.

We also can't seem to get the puck in to the caps zone. I mean, either you punch it up the boards and follow up, or you play in to the zone. We either play in to the forecheck or punch it in with no one following up.

This is exactly what happened 3 years ago when we blew the 3-0 lead. This team doesn't ****ing buckle down. They needed to shut things down defensively. They were getting chances all game. We got away without giving up a goal for most of it. ****ing christ. They stopped chipping the puck in and getting it deep when they had to. All the neutral zone turnovers are what's ****ing us right now. ****ing christ.
