This is great stuff!! My hot takes on these:

1. Gucchiardi - we need two-way left Dee in Hershey. he fits that but if he was a righty he would not get a two-way deal. Physical deeman whom can hopefully develop but I’d be shocked if he see more that 20 games total in the NHL. But we need a lefty on two-way deal
2. Chesley - Always been in the camp that he would sign and just needed some time. Probably some negotiating on timing but no way he see the NHL ice this season/playoffs with many righties in front of him. Super excited to see him get the ATO agreement and seeing him step right in with Hershey.
3. Leonard - We knew it would happen. Even faster than i thought. Fact that we are playing in Boston on Tuesday helps. Sounds like he’ll suit up. Put him on the 4th line.

Sad day for our prospect pool.

The kids grew up.
Don’t get this at all. Great day for our prospect pool because they are graduating.

If you are a prospect and hate these signings, you are in the wrong business. This is all about compete and working your way to get an agreement and then a roster spot, and then playing time.

this pushes everyone to be better! They are ALL still prospects.

eh... plenty of young blood still out there

It's a joke. Lighten up.

Why would someone hate prospects graduating? It's why they were drafted.

That is what i was wondering. Haha. Sorry i didn’t catch the sarcasm. Lots of salty people on here.

And i have my own stress trying to close up Q1. :-)

The value of these extra games compared to maybe the last couple regular season games can't be overstated I think. It gives him way more time to adjust and hopefully burn some of the adrenaline off so that he's more comfortable come playoff time. Aside from the Chicago game these should be pretty contested affairs. Lots of divisional games with many still fighting...

I don't really expect Leonard to get promoted to the top six in short order, though. If it happens it might say a bit more about the team and some others than him. My expectations are checked for this stretch. I view him as house money depth scoring at best until he has a full off-season and training camp. Either way it'll be fascinating watching him adjust to the highest level. Will he quickly look to agitate or not? If so, can he quickly find the balance of getting under the opposition's skin yet not going over the line and costing the team? Hopefully he helps up the ante here as they come down the stretch.

I think they try a LOT of things wrt to the lines. Only true “safe” bottom 6 is probably Dowd, as I can’t see him sitting unless injury or needing rest.
Eller
Raddysh
Mangiapane
Duhaime
Beauvillier
Leonard

All *could* sit. Just to keep it fresh and see what they can concoct over the last 9 spot here
They may sit Leonard in the playoffs, but I don't see him getting healthy scratched before then. They're going to want him to get all the experience possible before the playoffs start in case they need him in the playoffs (either because he's a top 12 forward or because of injury).

A LOT more games in the NHL than the NCAA. So….lets wait and see. He’s still a kid playing against men

Agree mostly with this but i don’t think Duhaime sits either. So in order of likely to sit for Leonard:

1. Raddysh
2. Mangipane
3. Eller (if you want to try Beauvillier at Center)
4. Duhaime
5. Beauvillier
6. Dowd

I also think McMichael has had pretty good wheels lately. The top six may get shuffled, but I don’t see any of them coming OUT of the lineup.

Yeah, Duhaime kill penalties, I'd be shocked if he sits, Dowd, no chance unless he's nursing an injury.
