Also Wendy Marco who enables the strategy of picking prospects who are great at everything but skating.
Sweet. I was hoping for top 10. It’s been like what — 20yrs since we had a top 10 pipeline? Longer? I dunnoBuffalo at 11 today, officially in top ten territory.
2010 we were top 4 at worst.Sweet. I was hoping for top 10. It’s been like what — 20yrs since we had a top 10 pipeline? Longer? I dunno
Maybe the WHL had a down stretch; whether they're drafting well or poorly under Mahoney is dictated by the WHL guysI think it's Ross Mahoney who deserves the lion share of the credit for the prospect pool. And he's been here longer than BMac.
(I am very interested to know what happened the first few years of GMBM's tenure. The Caps were great at drafting pre-2014. They've been great recently. But there were those below-average years in the middle, especially right after GMBM took over. Why?)
Hershey is extremely banged up and playing like dogshit right now. Plus I’m sure he’s sulking after being demoted and watching Frank play well.Miroshnichenko 1+3 in 7 games since having been sent down to Hershey. What's the deal?
Had the same thought watching that highlight of Protas blasting past Barrie like he was standing still. Wilson was another who improved his skating immensely thanks to the Capitals development staff. It's a major edge to be able to draft talented prospects that other teams pass on for skating-related concerns. Also Wendy Marco who enables the strategy of picking prospects who are great at everything but skating.
There are a lot of pieces. Amateur scotting, pro scouts, skating and skills coaching. Caps have their type. They go after it. They also made bets that were good moves on paper and didn’t play out like Mantha. It’s nice to see that crew getting rewarded with prospects progressing.
Miro hasn’t been impressive at any level this year IMHO. Consider me a non believer.Hershey is extremely banged up and playing like dogshit right now. Plus I’m sure he’s sulking after being demoted and watching Frank play well.
I wonder where we land. He have written about 6-12th place which he thinks are quite close.Kraken #10 today in Wheeler's rankings.
Second full season in North America and already has 39 NHL games under his belt. Was on pace for right around a point per game at the AHL level up until this bad stretch of games where the whole team is playing awful. He showed some great flashes in the Calder Cup run too. Not really willing to give up on the kid yetMiro hasn’t been impressive at any level this year IMHO. Consider me a non believer.
