Great and all. But who the fak are those 2 guys he’s gonna “beat” as an all timer? “I’ve never heard of you” McLean and “how is this pronounced” Flichel? LOL

I hope it’s not a longevity award. It shouldn’t be, as Cristall seems to have something going, but geeeez.
It probably is a bit of a longevity award based on Cristall birthday date.

One of the more insightful things that I remember someone saying on the caps scouting side in the years past is one things that hold's back prospects after they leave major junior is realizing/understanding they might have been a good top 6 offensive player at the major junior level, and could get away with some defensive lapses, to now going into the pro ranks they get a reality check and its up to them to change their game to what will they will actually fit at the NHL level at the 3rd/4th line.

Based only on numbers, it looks like Suzdalev is finding his game again, or at least having success in, South Carolina. He's got 13 points (4 goals) in 12 games.

I know Hershey is stacked with good wingers, but I have to imagine at some point the Caps will want to see how Suz does up at the AHL level. I was surprised to realize he's still only 20 until March.

Some of the knocks on him as a prospect, even when he was scoring a ton in Juniors, were that he was a bit of a perimeter player and didn't seem to put in a ton of effort on the defensive size. I'd be curious to know if those traits have changed.
